It would have been very helpful to have hands soap in the bathroom

Fabulous location is why I picked this. Very good communication with host. Very nicely decorated room & good size shower. Water bottle supplied was good.

Paying premium for location. Basically one room inside of an apartment. Bed mattress & pillows not very comfortable. All of Italy seems to have hard foam mattresses. I don’t mind firm, but this one did not suit me. Fridge was not plugged in & no milk provided.

WHAT A DELUSION!Questo particolare Beyond8 I didn’t get to see the Beyond8 LuxurySuite, apartment, I booked in Trieste. For background, we were two couples aged 70, my wife had injured her foot so she was using a crutch, so I booked this central apartment, no stairs and no hills, reducing the amount of fatigue we would have walking. I was contacted the day before arrival by the owner and advised I had received an upgrade to a villa, if I agreed, as I had paid a lot for the apartment. I requested the photos, it seemed good, two bathrooms etc…., only 150 metres from the original apartment. I was also informed they provide only a basic breakfast. Be careful and think carefully before accepting, you may regret it like us. When we arrived, we were escorted by Dilly to the villa from the address of the original apartment to the villa. I was astonished. The street to arrive at the villa was fairly long and one of the steepest I’ve ever seen. I protested but Dilly advised that the town centre was only 150 metres from the other entrance to the villa and it would only cost about 7 Euros for a Taxi. After a quick inspection by the ladies, we accepted. At first it seemed good, but we soon realised the villa is very run down, far from luxury. The lounge was spacious and adequately fitted out. The kitchen was spacious. There were no dish towels and we had to use a small grill to make toast, very slow. The shower room on the ground floor was usable but having to go downstairs to have a shower isn’t very practical with another couple present. The shower tray didn’t look very clean or was stained. We didn’t use it. There was water on the tiles from a supply leak to the WC. This wasn’t a new problem, this has been going on for some time. The bathroom on the first floor had a bath but no shower. The wash hand basin had practically no hot water because of limescale encrustation and was virtually useless. The WC didn’t flush. The hot water was tepid and just sufficient to wash.
