How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Even though it is the cheapest it definitely isn’t cheap, so the value isn’t there. It is difficult to get the shuttle from the airport and difficult to find a place back to the airport. Also the neighborhood is scary especially at night.
The hotel is clean, comfortable and the cheapest stay as near to LAX as possible.

No shampoo. But it’s clearly stated in the booking.
Basic hotel with shuttle from and to the airport. Excellent staff. Jessica at reception was very kind and even offered us an early check in. They stored our bags after check out so we could enjoy the city. Would definitely recommend for someone needing a short stay near lax.

Our key card kept deactivating and we had to kept going to the front desk to have it fixed. One of the gentleman told us we didn’t pay for parking without even looking up our account.
I liked that there was security on the property and the parking lot was secure. Except for my loud family the hotel was quiet and friendly.

The bathtub was lopsided so it felt weird showering on unstable ground. It took a while for the water to heat up but it did, thankfully. I heard a bit of door slamming down the hall but eventually, stopped. Trenya said she put us at the quieter end of the hall so I was grateful for that.
The front desk lady, Trenya, was delightful. My kid and I needed a place to shower and sleep after our long flight from Malaysia. The last leg of our journey had a departure time early the next morning. Rather than sleep in the airport we opted to stay at an affordable and close-by location and Motel 6 fit the bill. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were a few eateries within walking distance. They offered a free shuttle to and from the motel. The security measures they use plus the security guard on duty made us feel safe.

The hotel did not respond to my questions regarding the shuttle. Without information on how to catch the shuttle, we had to use a taxi which was quite expensive. The staff at the hotel seemed harried to say the least with little time to be polite let alone helpful. They treat their clients like cattle, pushing to get them paid up and out if their way. I will say that once I met the shuttle driver he was very friendly, helpful and provided excellent service for the trip back to the airport.
We only need a place to stay overnight on a trip to California. For that the hotel was adequate. There are good restaurants within walking distance.

The room was noisy from the traffic outside. My room face East down W.Century Boulevard and at night, there was lots of traffic racing up and down the road.
Good location for airport transfer. Plenty of places to eat and buy stuff to take back to the room.

We choosed the hotel mostly because it was close to rental company from which we rented a campervan. After our 1st (and only) night, we used the (free) service of luggage storage for few hours - it was OK. The problem arised, when we returned the car 1 week later. We renturned the car and had approx. 10 hours before our flight so we wanted to visit the downtown. We hoped that we could use the hotel´s luggage storage again (even as a non-guest). Unfortunately, the hotel manager at the front reception (13/05/2024 - Shawnde or Shandy) was extremely arrogant and unfriendly and refused to store our loggage, despite we were willing to pay for the service (we used to travel a lot and had never been refused with such request). We had 2 small children (4 and 7) and it was impossible for us to handle with the luggage within the city. When refused, we decided to go to the airport and wait 10 hours there. As the hotel offers free shuttle to the airport and as we have not used this service week ago (because we rented a car) I asked the manager if they could provide us at least with free shuttle to the airport - the answer was NO! again... To sum it up - the hotel is fine but we were just unlucky to have an extremely unpleasant and arrogant manager...
