The hotel is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains, vineyards and grazing Wagyu cattle. It is a magical position in the Klein Karoo. The villlas are beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is really great. Lee was very attentive and very efficient. The breakfasts were beautifully laid out and delicious. The restaurant served the most delicious wagu beef I have ever tasted. This is definitely a place for beef eaters!

Loved our stay at the hotel. Charming, cosy and comfortable. Loved the cosy dining room and fire in the lounge burning all day. Just loved the relaxed atmosphere of the Klein Karoo. Food was lovely and staff friendly!

The location was beautiful, the restaurant was great. The lodge was very comfortable and the shower was hot and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was very generous. The menu for evening meal was limited but still very tasty. We also did the meer cat tour , which was worth getting up early for. Overall a great value for money stay.

We had the most amazing two days at Mooiplaas and would highly recommend it. The property is beautifully looked after and set in a tranquille location in the nature. The staff was excellent and the dinner outstanding.

Beautiful surroundings, bedroom was lovely and clean. Mini bar fully stocked with everything. Staff were all excellent!

Wonderful stay with welcoming owners and lovely house from 1853. Clean spacious rooms. Great breakfast with homemade bread. Walking distance to restaurants. Nice pool for those hot days.

The reserve was excellent. The teams attention to detail, local knowledge and hopitality was exceptional. Truely a wonderful eperience. This was my third safari and my most personalised experience.

The hosts were very flexible on an early checkin and also on dietary concerns. They were also quick to upgrade the room stay. Very easy to work with and a beautiful property. The AC was great and the power was on despite blackouts nearby. They also were not trying to upcharge me for the special meal or for an Ostrich Farm tour in addition to the Meerkats.

The Lodge is on an active farm, and it was fun seeing all the animals. We saw all the little lambs running out to the fields, ostriches, deer and antelope, a cow, and a very friendly old dog who enjoyed walking with us all over the farm. The breakfast was wonderful, and the rooms were basic but neat. For the price, it was good value for money.

A wonderful place to stay, lovely staff, great food and wine, a comfortable room and owners who are interesting and interested. You could not ask for more.

this place is just what we needed as a couple to regroup and connect. with only the birds, monkeys, and stars as distractions, we were in heaven. The forest is something out of a fairy tale and the blood red water of the river only added to the feeling of otherworldly-ness. The owner has taken so much care to make this place inviting and magical and his down to earth approach made us feel right at home. In fact, we added an extra night to our stay because we just couldn’t imagine leaving!

Fabulous tents so well equipped and great to be on edge of dam, although very noisy with birds. Great food and staff. Good to see the wildlife conservation, went to see lions being fed

driving towards the lodge is a stunning drive. arriving in this paradise valley completes the journey. We were dearly welcomed and felt at ease right away. A dip in the pool got rid of the dust from the drive. a large pool good for some lanes in the morning. We stayed at a cottage. it’s all well equipped. a strong AC will get it cool. although it was very comfortable end of afternoon. the night was cool so windows open and natural AC came in. we took a tour and David showed us some awesome spots. including a view on the giraffes. breakfast afterwards was a real treat. we left feeling like completely spoiled. which we were. it’s hard to compare this to many a standard. it was a 5 star-plus-turbo-A stay. Wie could check in earlier and they made extra twin beds for us . Nicely furnished and very nice ladies at the reception

We are a family of five and we stayed for three nights in a beautiful, very spacious and clean tent at Africamps. We had a wonderful view on the little lake and enjoyed the sunset with a glass of wine. The ordered braai- and breakfast baskets were great and I would recommend doing this south african style barbecue. We also participated in a meerkat safari, which we loved.
