The room was very nicely decorated and furnished and the bathroom was modern with a good shower. We had a room at the back and it was nice and quiet. They don't do breakfast which we knew and which suited us having had a big breakfast every day at our previous hotel! We ate dinner in the restaurant which is lovely and the food was very good. The room price is about right for room-only and the location is good for exploring the Black Isle and Inverness.
Culbokie
Everything was perfect, we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant, comfortable stay. Heather was very welcoming and friendly, the apartment was exceptionally clean, furnished to a high standard, with so much thought gone into the finishing touches. Continental breakfast was perfect too! Thank you so much! Location was great for staying out of town in the Inverness area, just on the Black Isle, perfect for the NC500.
Culbokie
The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped and included a patio. The location was idyllic with views over a duck pond and the countryside beyond. We enjoyed watching the many birds and were thrilled to spot red kites on a couple of occasions. It was an ideal base for exploring the Black Isle. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Brian and his wife (the owners of the Ord Arms) created a great atmosphere and Provided us with a great breakfast and as a real bonus to us Brian gave us a lift from the hotel to the Black Isle Showground which saved us a considerable walk and we also enjoyed the famous Black Isle Show, best regards, Norman Masson & Olive Scott.
Very nice and cozy B&B. We had a triple room. It was very clean and sufficiently spacious. Also, Linda had turned a lot of attention to detail - bedlinens were so pretty, with patterns sown on etc. Also breakfast was delicious, with warm scones just out of the oven etc. There is a nice yard on the back where you can sit and enjoy the evening. We could park the car just in front of our separate entrance so even handling luggage was comfortable. Very convenient and very satisfying stay!
Sue and her husband were just perfect hosts! they have a lovely home with a beautiful garden. They both make you feel at home and are eager to share there knowledge, wether it si on nature, the surronding areas or what to do in scotland! we highly recommend a stay in their house.
Comfortable, clean, spacious grounds, excellent breakfast, made to feel welcome, great location to visit Cromarty
The reviews do not do this place justice. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and welcome. Breakfast is in a true Scotish tradition. The beds were amazingly comfortable, the best we had on our trip, the bathroom and showers were generously sized, and everything was clean. The host was very knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend you stay here!
Everything. Nicest staff, good breakfast menu, super clean, great shower (with hot water and good water pressure). There's also a guest lounge with couches you can sit and relax in with a nice glass of whiskey.
