You couldn't find this type hotel in Europe for reasonable price & performance. We also like hotel restaurant, night club and Casino facilities as well. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms with thick walls so it was very quiet, nice bathrooms with a high enough showerhead to be comfortable for taller people, amazing food in the restaurant (also offers 10% discount if you are staying at the hotel). Great location. Overall perfect stay, would definitely visit again.

Haskovo is a nice city with plenty of good shopping.
Haskovo is a nice city with plenty of good shopping. Large pedestrianised area which is very nice to wander around with lots of trees and fountains. Two of the best restaurants are Alafrangite and Una Pio. We were there for a fantastic rock concert which was excellent.

Dimitrovgrad is very easy to get around by foot.
Dimitrovgrad is very easy to get around by foot. And if you get tired, taxies have a standard fare within the town of 2.5 leva. It is very well connected to other places in the area both by train and bus. Plovdiv, the second biggest city in the country, is an hour and a half away on the train. There are smaller towns with things to see in day trips, such as Haskovo. The town itself has a number of parks. It hosts the house-museum of communist poet Penyo Peev and the first museum of modern history in the country. The town is perhaps most interesting for its architecture. It was designed to be the model town of the regime for the country, so some interesting photos can be guaranteed.
