The bed was comfortable and the restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. Room is a good size, and location very central. It was also very quiet, which I didn't expect given the other properties around the hotel.

Nairobi, is a great place to visit. You should have a plan when you go as there is so much to do in this area of the country. Besides the safari, there are the tours to the mountain and farm region of the country and you need time to visit. We did the bus ride and came back to Nairobi each night, which is fine just make sure you give yourself some a day break once in a while.

Nairobi offers an exciting blend of adventure, culture, and urban charm. The city is a gateway to thrilling wildlife experiences, with the Nairobi National Park providing a rare opportunity to see, giraffes, and rhinos against a backdrop of skyscrapers. The Giraffe Centre allow for intimate encounters with giraffes. Nairobi's rich cultural heritage is showcased in attractions like the Karen Blixen Museum and the Nairobi National Museum. The bustling Maasai Market is perfect for shopping for local crafts and souvenirs. Culinary delights abound, from street food stalls to high-end restaurants offering both local and international cuisine. Despite its busy urban environment, Nairobi has serene spots like the Karura Forest for nature walks and picnics but was flooded during my visit. The city's vibrant nightlife, friendly locals, and mix of traditional and modern experiences make Nairobi a captivating destination for any traveler. Be extra cautious of your safety and belongings while travelling, lurking danger of thefts always.

Buzzing city with a lot of restaurants, bars and social places. Easy modes of transport. Highway has made it wonderful to go from airport to town and vice versa. Lots of greenery and access to game lodges and parks. Lots of high rise buildings too which is not so nice.

loved Nairobi elephant orphanage and giraffe Centre a must - we also saw Bomas of Kenya and some museums. Also visited a tea farm which was a great relaxing day. Restaurants we visited were very nice. People very friendly - easiest way to get around is make sure you have uber app although be careful of them trying to hike price up when they realize you are tourists. Try not to arrange visits for peak travel time as roads are extreamly busy and can be scary. Also if there it is an absolute must to book safari.

I like that there are small privately owned shops and street hawkers. I prefer shopping at individual stalls as opposed to a department store. The food at The Olive Restaurant is a good value. I'd love to look around Simlaw Seeds; I used to have a farm and will return to farming.
The Fairview provides an excellent balance between a central location and the sense of being in a protected, green refuge. Everything about the hotel is top-notch, including well-judged and comprehensive updates that enhance the colonial structure. One feels the efficiency of a city hotel as well as the comfort of a resort. Fine food (by far the best croissants I had in Kenya; wonderful broccoli soup), high speed wifi, a truly obliging staff who, for example, efficiently organized both the covid test and printing of results.
Hotel was very comfortable with great amenities. Best 'feature' of Best Western Plus Westlands however was the lovely, helpful, friendly staff. I was particularly grateful to Reception and Housekeeping teams for facilitating my request to have a room in which I could change and freshen up prior to my departure for a total of 12 hours flight time on my journey home (having checked out of my own room on the morning of my departure, but not leaving for home until later on that evening).
This was a home away from home.
Traveling solo all the way from Japan, this place gave me the feeling of home and I get to rest so well. This place was secure, safe, warm, calm, relaxed. I felt like I have spent so much more time than I actually stayed.
Super convenient to get to main area of the city such as Westlands, but distant enough to rest yourself from the noise.
A perfect sized room for 1-2. Nice little flower in the room was cute:)
The breakfast was okay and the location was perfect very convenient for anyone who would like to be around the CBD. This is amongst the very few hotels in the Nairobi CBD that you'd actually have a comfortable sleep same as the one accorded in any residential neighborhood. The lady at the reception Christine (hope I got the name right) very professional, welcoming and kind to the guests, her service delivery is just exceptional.
Excellent gym with great views of Nairobi skyline and a working steam room and sauna. Great location in a quiet street in Westlands near plenty of restaurants and shopping malls. The spacious apartment had a washing machine/dryer which worked really well as did the microwave and oven. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary, crockery, cutlery, cookware and utensils for a longer stay. Air-conditioned bedroom was a bonus.
The location of the hotel is very central on the Moi Avenue. 5 minutes walk to the city market hall, some 15 minutes walk to the Parliament and Jomo Kenyatta tower. The restaurant by the hotel is very good, there is also a bar as a separate section. The security is presented, body temperature is being constantly measured. The rooms are basic, quite clean. Generally hotel is very much ok for a 3-star hotel in Africa.
This apartment is spacious and has everything you need.. the beds are comfy, kitchen is huge for cooking and hosting.. I loved having my coffee on the balcony. It is walking distance to westlands and CBD, there is a Naivas super close that has everything too.
The staff are amazing and the place is very secure.
The pool is very clean and the restaurant makes it easy for those days you don’t want to cook.
Nestled in Nairobi’s bustling Westlands area, the Golden Tulip is a charming, clean and secure hotel. The staff are all professional and friendly. The restaurant, rooftop bar/pool, and the gym are all excellent amenities. Although I stayed there only for two days, I will certainly book my next stay in Nairobi at the Golden Tulip.
The location is right in the centre of Westlands and very close to good bars and restaurants. There is one below the hotel which is a karaoke bar and very loud but fun to join in and a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. You get what you pay for so for a cheap one night stop it is okay.
The residence itself is lovely, nicely set, and the suite was exceptional. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the dinner options are very good. At the same time, the price beats hands down all five stars hotels around in Nairobi, making this residence one of the best value for money.
Relatively close to the airport (20 minutes by taxi), so no need to travel to or through central Nairobi.
The room and the hotel in general were clean enough.
As is often the case in Kenya, the staff were generally friendly and helpful and were open to negotiation.
Not in the center of the town, but very good located in Westlands (Sarit Center), very peaceful, one has her/his privacy, a distanced politeness of the people in the office, stunning view overlooking the City of Nairobi, spacy rooms, a complete kitchen.
Located in Westlands, very close to many malls and shops and inside the hotel there are two restaurants and one bar and as the name said there is the way to see the Nairobi river and a nice garden with a lot of birds.
Amazing scenery, quiet and far from the city. The chalet rooms looks so pretty that is not typical fancy hotel but otherwise cozy, African style accommodation. Staff are all friendly and accommodating
