The guesthouse gave a accurate description of the area so we knew what services were there and not there and could plan ahead. We loved walking around and the sights and hikes that were nearby. It was so easy to get to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, and we could go back to see them at night too. The hosts had many recommendations for what to do and it definitely enhanced our trip!

Absolutely loved the variety of fresh, farm to table offerings, and homemade breads at breakfast. Dinner menu was extensive, meals were delicious. Enjoyed seeing the sea birds, and sheep in the pasture. Views of mountain and bay/ ocean were great. Very close to Glacier Bay and Diamond Beach. Peaceful. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend and will return when I come back to Iceland.

we had an early assembly for ice cave/glacier walk so the location was perfect (<15min drive). Nearby area to visit are Diamond Beach & Iceberg Lagoon but we missed that due to bad weather condition.

We chose it because of the proximity to the glacier lagoon and diamond beach. What we didn’t know was that it was the perfect place for a super comfortable first night after flying and a long drive. The owners contacted us in the morning to ask if we’d like dinner, which we gratefully agreed to, as we’d not been to this area before and knew we would be tired after a long travel day. The dinner was delicious with great choices, and was beautifully spread red and served. The surrounding property was stunning - farmlands and majestic cliffs filled with seabirds. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and new modern amenities. I will definitely return

Some great features in this part of Iceland, Diamond Beach was just incredible and like nothing else I have ever seen, just wish I had had the time to stay and take photos all day and night. The LAgoon upstream was also incredible, worth visiting after high tide and again as the time is coming in, the Icebergs move in a different way at both stages of the tides and it is worth seeing both.

its just great to see the icebergs at the lagoon floating out to the sea. If you have time, watch the whole cycle of the tide. Also don´t miss diamond beach. Especially in the morning when the sun rises you can take great pictures of the sparkling ice pieces lying on the black beach.
The location is good for joining tours from “Glacier Adventure” and you will get a discount from the Hostel. Moreover, you might see the Aurora light if you’re lucky enough. Furthermore, the WiFi network was strong. Also, you will meet different people around the world. If you forgot to buy some food before your arrival, 1. the hostel had a shelf in the shared kitchen which sells food; 2. there was a restaurant nearby. At last, feel free to enjoy the welcome cake and drinks.
We stayed in the two bedroom cottage. It was perfect for our family - located close to the Reception/restaurant building so very convenient but not as close to the sea/views as other parts of the hotel.
Really close to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach.
We ate breakfast in the hotel - it was a buffet with loads of choice and everything was kept topped up. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and salad which is expensive to buy at supermarkets in Iceland!
Beautiful location with easy access to the glacier lagoon and surrounding areas! The room was clean and the hot shower was much appreciated after a long day in the rain snd cold. We planned ahead and brought sandwiches because there isn’t much in the way of food in the area and that worked out well with the mini fridge to store food over might. We were sorry we couldn’t stay longer, but will come back the next time we’re in Iceland.
Amazing hosts, friendly and helpful. Great location and great fresh coffee machine. Welcome Marriage cake - a delicious treat! Great to chat with other travellers. Quiet, esp considering fully booked. On that note - book as soon as you can. There is little accommodation available and Hotels are expensive for a family. Would happily return here.... Guests were considerate of each other.
This location is exceptional for distance to the glacier lagoon. There are few options in the area as it's super remote but this had a restaurant next door which was nice. The hostel was very cute and cozy and the staff was really nice. They asked everyone to take their shoes off inside which added a nice, clean feeling.
I loved this little place. Everything about it and the experience. Walking up to the little restaurant for a delicious dinner and wonderful breakfast! Easy access to Glacier Lagoon. Wonderful road trip experience from my home base of the capital city while in Iceland.
Nice clean comfortable room. Good shared kitchen facilities. Appreciate the milk that was provided for our morning cereal Nice restaurant was a 2 min walk from the hostel. Beds were comfortable. Good location less than a 15 min drive to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon
The room itself was basic but clean and comfortable. The site of the hotel is extraordinary and remote. The staff were friendly and warm. The restaurant on site was great and the breakfast was fantastic!!! We would return again.
Hotel just off the ring road with clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about surrounding sightseeing and providing us with tips on when and where to see the northern lights
I loved the view out the window, bed was comfortable, host was friendly and available when we rang for him. Very close to the glacier lagoon and almost half the price we paid for the night before in another place.
Clean and nice yellow house. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided by hotel. Nice place to stay if you want to visit the near by diamond beach, glacier lagoon and blue ice cave.
Cute little hotel with a killer view and awesome breakfast. Petra at the restaurant was really kind and took care of us. Waking up to snow capped mountains is out of this world.
Only 10 min from Glacier Lagoon. Beautiful setting on water with towering mountain behind. Great breakfast, which is included. Very comfy beds and room temperature.
Location - close to Jökulsarlon and other places we wanted to visit. Hotel offered breakfast. Staff was helpful, informative they gave was fast and accurate.
Nice hotel, just next to the Glacier Adventure departure point - very convenient for the morning Ice Cave tour. Good breakfast, plenty of parking spots.
