This place is a perfect oceanview oasis! The view was truly breathtaking, I was able to spot the whale's migrations in the evening. The room was spotless and impeccable, the bathroom was so spacious. The bed was so big and comfortable that I had one of my best sleeps ever. The location was ideal for beach access and exploring the area. At night time I saw the Milky Way just from Alina's deck! Thanks Alina for such an unforgettable experience! I can't wait to return here again!

Point Arena is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a stunning coastline. The coastal views on the way to the lighthouse should not be missed. However, the town center is rather blighted. The restaurants seem to be only open on the weekends. The historic center is worn down. . . not really any interesting shops or galleries.
You may want to consider staying in Gualala or Anchor Bay instead. Elk has a fantastic art gallery and it's a charming village. . . but, the prices in the local grocery are astronomical.

A trip north along the coast road to Fort Bragg, stopping often and including a stop at Point Arena lighthouse with climb to the top well worth it. Pizzas on the wharf, about 5 minutes away well worth the easy drive. Co-op across the road does excellent coffee - proper espresso coffee!!

Not really a town to stay more than one night unless you are visiting friends in the area. The lighthouse is about the only thing to see that is of interest. A little town that tries to hard to be something it is not.

Loved the Wild Flower Motel, the breakfast was brought to our room and it was delicious. We had fun exploring and seeing Bowling Ball Beach. Great places to eat and just walk around. The weather was wonderful. Next time we will definitely go to the beach at sunset.

Not much there except a general store and a couple art galleries. We were blown away by the most amazing pastries from Franny's Cup & Saucer. Bowling Ball beach has really interesting rock formations (go at low tide). The powerful waves around the lighthouse at new moon are really impressive. It can take a while to get there, but make the scenic drive up Highway 1 an enjoyable part of your trip.
+ The cleanest place where I‘ve stayed in almost a month roadtrip. (Seriously! It‘s the only hotel we stayed where the floor was cleaned perfectly. And after checkout I saw the cleaning ladys even clean every window inside AND OUTSIDE, lamps, etc which is no matter of course!!)
+ very chique as the colours match and it‘s really nice lavender, bloomy.
+ checkin was flexible as we arrived later than 21:00 and it was super easy with the arrangements.
+ breakfast was super healthy, and obviously prepared with love.
We felt super comfortable at the Wharfs Inn in Point Arena with Karen and Cliff. It is a great, clean, friendly and quiet hotel with a great view from the balcony over the Pacific. Our room was very well appointed and the breakfast menu is great. The service staff are all helpful and nice. We did not eat dinner, we had already done that before check in. We have but on the terrace very good wine served including campfire. Thank you for the wonderful stay with you. We can only recommend the accommodation!
We had an incredible view of the cove from our room and private balcony as the hotel is on the side of the bluff above the cove. A special treat was watching a whale swimming in the cove below us our entire stay. We watched the fishing boats come in and out at the wharf with their fresh caught salmon. We ate two delicious meals at the wharf below us. I would highly recommend Wharf Master’s Inn.
Loved the people that run this hotel, Dorothy was the receptionist when we got there and was wonderful. Didn't get the Gal in the morning name when we checked out, but she was wonderful also. The view is amazing. Bed was so comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. Very good use of the space. Loved watching the fishing boats coming and goings.
Highly recommend staying here! The room looked brand new and was very clean abs comfortable. I’m pretty picky on where I stay and never take a bath (shower only) at a hotel abs I actually took a bath here because it was that clean and nice. Staff very nice abs helpful too. Limited dinner options in town but what was available was very good!
The switch from just a Motel to a sustainable boutique Motel is a success. The rooms are very nice. The materials and ideas they have used are remarkable. For instance, day light in the bathroom. The outside with the flowers was very nice, as well.
Closed by is a Japanese Hotel which was a highlight as well.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Lovely little hotel with several restaurants within walking distance. Every room has a different flower theme. Very comfortable room and beautiful bathroom. Lots of charging stations. Ordered breakfast at check in and chef delivers it right to your room.
The studio was just perfect, with the view of lighthouse. The heated floor was definitely useful. The studio was tastefully decorated and very smartly designed with every space put to good use. Mina the lighthouse cat was a constant fixture during our stay and we loved hanging out with her.
The breakfast sandwich was delicious! It was like something you’d get in a nice breakfast restaurant and not at all like a typical hotel/motel breakfast. Bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were fresh and spotless. Great, modern appliances and fixtures.
The room was cute and very clean. Had a little balcony with seating, and a nice view of the harbor. Great to hear the waves at night! The owner (Karen), was wonderful! Gave us great recommendations for restaurants, and was really welcoming.
