What a fantastic hostel! Yes, it is pricey for a hostel, but it is easily one of the best hostels I've even stayed in (having stayed in hostels throughout Europe and SE Asia). It was a cozy little house with what looks like renovated bathrooms. Everything was clean and tidy. There were really thoughtful touches like eco-friendly handsoap and dishwashing liquid, plenty of complimentary tea and coffee, some oats and pancake mix for breakfast. There were not many other guests during my stay, so it was lovely and quiet. The hostel website also provided some great suggestions for hike, things to do, where to by groceries and places to eat. Can highly recommend staying here!

This place exceeded our expectations! Staff was very friendly & the grounds were kept up very well. The breakfast was excellent! It was also only about 15 minutes from the south entrance. I would highly recommend this place!

Great customer service from Forest when there was a fault with our room door & my husband couldn't get in, tried all avenues, and got him a room free of charge. Just wanted to say thank you to all staff involved, including Amanda. Staff recommended great places to eat and the rooms are very clean & comfortable. Hotel is near Yosemite which we highly recommend seeing; and to do a day tour with Discover Yosemite. Would happily stay here again.

We used it for Yosemite. Price is cheaper, but for itself still crazy. You need a car to travel to food places. bed was clean.
