What a fantastic hostel! Yes, it is pricey for a hostel, but it is easily one of the best hostels I've even stayed in (having stayed in hostels throughout Europe and SE Asia). It was a cozy little house with what looks like renovated bathrooms. Everything was clean and tidy. There were really thoughtful touches like eco-friendly handsoap and dishwashing liquid, plenty of complimentary tea and coffee, some oats and pancake mix for breakfast. There were not many other guests during my stay, so it was lovely and quiet. The hostel website also provided some great suggestions for hike, things to do, where to by groceries and places to eat. Can highly recommend staying here!

good central location for exploring Shaver Lake area. The appliances were good, the living room is large and the beds very comfortable. I also enjoyed the movie collection and Bob’s market.
