The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us useful tips about the local area. I would happily go back here and would recommend it. Good value for money. For example the recptionist told us abour the walk across to Bar island which was only accessible when the tide was out.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park: A Delicious and Scenic...
Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park: A Delicious and Scenic Escape!
We had a fantastic time exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park! The charming little town offered a delightful escape, with plenty of delicious dining options to keep us fueled. Lobster rolls, ice cream, and coffee became our happy place flavors.
Bar Harbor itself was incredibly walkable (and drivable for those times!), with a convenient grocery store right near our stay at the Acadia Inn. But the true star of the show was the National Park.
For any outdoor enthusiast, Acadia National Park is paradise. We hiked to our heart's content, surrounded by stunning scenery. It was the perfect combination of small-town charm and breathtaking nature!

The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination.
The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination. Lots of shops with 10000 tee shirts, but some nice and expensive ones as well. Lobster rolls are the big thing, but pricey.'The best restaurants are not the town center, they are outside.

The time spent was on the opening shoulder season.
The time spent was on the opening shoulder season. The price was awesome and the staff as well. If you want a 100% of all the facilities just wait a few weeks and you will have some great extras. Perfect distance from Bar Habor as you are in your own small hamlet

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!!
Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!! All the shops and restaurants seemed locally owned and unique to the area. We enjoyed lots of seafood like fresh lobster, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Be sure to walk the coastal path and take a harbor cruise! We loved flying Cape Air from Boston to Bar Harbor to see the coast and islands--just be sure to pick up your luggage in Boston and bring it to the Cape Air terminal! Restaurants we liked-- Geddy's, Ben & Bills Chocolate Emporium for ice cream/gelato/fudge, Stewman's, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound --they had outdoor games, too! Of course, don't miss Acadia National Park and Abel's Lobster right by the yacht yard--great outdoor ambiance!!

We enjoyed sunrises at Cadillac Mountain, crossing the bar at low tide, hiking the Beehive, the Bubbles, and Acadia Mountain, and walking on a small portion of the carriage roads.
Bar Harbor had great food, but it was tough to get into the restaurants. Our favorite was the Side Street Cafe.
We went in late October. Pros - lower crowds. Con - water activities and some restaurants were already closed for the season.

I can't wait to go back!
I can't wait to go back! Bar Harbor is a beautiful town that's extremely close to Acadia National Park. It's the perfect place to return to after a long hike. The locals are friendly and the food is delicious. The views are phenomenal.
I enjoyed so many things about our stay! Prime location in Bar Harbor, minutes from Acadia National Park, the staff was always warm and welcoming, etc. My favorite part was the attention to detail and investment staff made in each guest experience. A wide variety of breakfast options, 24/7 hot chocolate/coffee/apple cider, laundry availability, and they would even leave hiking snacks and fresh fruit out for us before we left for the day! Definitely one of the best hotel experiences I have had.
After a first uneasy night, the hotel manager went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and to ensure we feel comfortable. Thank you very much! We even extended our stay for one night.
The hotel provides a grab & go breakfast in the morning as well as high-quality snacks, coffee, tea, fruits, water, and juice bottles throughout the day. The hotel is very close to downtown, which means you can leave your car at the hotel parking lot and explore Bar Harbor by feet.
Fantastic location- very short walk into downtown Bar Harbor, very short drive to Acadia National Park. The best part about it was the people- Christopher, Constance and Penny were so warm, welcoming and helpful! I felt like I was staying with friends! The light breakfast options in the lobby, fresh baked cookies every afternoon, coffee all day and water bottle filler were all unexpected and so nice! The room was large and easily accommodated our party of 4.
Lovely property which is located just around the corner from all the shops, restaurants and activities. The host Maddie is from the area and she is super friendly and knowledgeable and great with suggestions / ideas (as she has done it all herself). She gave us great recommendations on hikes in Acadia. I’d also add that the breakfasts at the hotel were outstanding. When we go back to Bar Harbor, we will definitely aim to stay there again.
A really lovely hotel on the edge of Bar Harbor close to Acadia National Park. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and spacious, we wanted for nothing. We particularly liked the way the hotel encouraged guests to recycle items and all products used at breakfast were recyclable which was fantastic! The breakfast too was really nice with a great choice of items each day.
It was exceptionally clean, friendly helpful staff, really close to town. Loved the front area where you could relax in front of the hotel. Cookies and coffee in the lobby. Breakfast served right to your room! Included in stay if you are in the inn part. I was in the Sargents room. The porch was delightful and wishing I could have used the pellet stove but it was not quite the weather for it.
Did not stay they wanted $50.00 pet fee each for our two dogs. Would have been a extra $300 on our bill. Should inquire that when booking. Very disappointed we will never use book.com again. Days Inn still changing full fee for not even staying with them. I thought pet friendly place would have a area for dogs was no grassy place for the dogs the pictures are decieving.
I traveled solo on MDI (without car) and took a taxi to the hotel. Quiet location next to university campus (not open due to COVID), 15 mins walk away from downtown Bar Harbor. The best part is the complimentary breakfast (nothing fancy but very convenient if you're trying to head out early and not having to go somewhere else for food first).
I like that the property was very nice and the staff was very helpful. they let me charge my electric car right at my room which took a great deal of stress off my shoulders! The hotel was only minutes from downtown Bar harbor and the rate was very good! I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Maine.
The value for this hotel was great! We always stay here the weekend before Memorial Day. Staff were wonderful, room was extremely clean and the location can't be beat, close to downtown and the park! This is not a luxury motel, but the value and location are just great1
Well-located hotel just outside the downtown area of Bar Harbor making it easy to walk, take a shuttle or drive into town depending on your agenda. Lively pool and hot tub that remain open when it's raining in Maine (frequently).
Location was perfect to walk around town without needing a car. Quite close to park which was why we traveled to Bar Harbor. The Inn hosts Paula and Susie were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Would stay here again!
The location is amazing. It's a short walk into downtown bar harbor, and a short drive to the entrance of acadia. The breakfasts were amazing, and they were very accommodating of my special dietary needs.
Really big room, lovely fireplace which helped given the weather. Front desk staff really helpful, pool very good, parking easy. 10 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes from Arcadia NP - perfect!
Clean, comfortable, quiet, not in the craziness of "downtown" Bar Harbor, and the price is right. Also, just down the road from the best BBQ in Maine, "Mainely Meat BBQ Dreamwood Hill."
The desk staff was super helpful, the room was incredibly clean and the location couldn't be beat for walking downtown and getting to Acadia. I definitely recommend staying here.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. View was wonderful and the best part of the hotel. The room, with exception of the bathroom, was spacious and had comfortable seating.
One of the best breakfast of my entire trip in Maine, the Inn was amazing, great comfort, great staff and perfect cleaning! I would love to return here.
