best and most modern red roof I have seen, well runned, well managed, very clean, brand new, great location near the finger lakes and its vineyards for not a whole lot of money, a pleasant surprise even breakfast exceeded expectations for a red roof almost as good as much more expensive chains in a clean area, large and modern rooms, with nice desks and fridge

Rodeway Inn & Suites Weedsport NY, hotel in Auburn

The Rodeway Inn Weedsport is 5 minutes’ drive from the Cayuga County Speedway and Auburn is 15 minutes’ drive away. The hotel serves a hot continental breakfast each morning in the lobby.

Location, we actually were traveling 25 minutes further down Rt. 31. This was the closest available, which meant for a pleasant drive. We were attending a 100th birthday party in Clyde, NY. We arrived from Syracuse Airport in our rented car and first impression how fresh the Rodeway Inn appeared. Our room was very large and newly decorated. The color palette was refreshing and not “grandma” style. Good job! Bathroom is large enough for 2 people to get ready at same time. I will say the exhaust was too loud though. Immaculately clean, and our housekeeper (did not get her name) very nice and approachable. Sincerely wanted to assist us, even though we said everything was great. After the party, I brought a large slice of birthday cake to Peter at the front desk. It was to thank him for arranging our room near our friends. He was very professional and friendly. It was a pleasure meeting him and staying at this Rodeway Inn. Sincerely yours, Jill L Wolfe-Benyo 433 W Canal Drive Gulf Shores, AL 36542

Auburn is great (not the Day's Inn in July, 2023).

Auburn is great (not the Day's Inn in July, 2023). The city suffered in the urban renewal of the late '60's and '70's, but has a great theater program, good restaurants (with many of them a good step above!), a couple of good breweries, museums and amazing history. This is the place where the fundamentals of sound movies were invented. It's where the world's larges rope maker and marine cordage mfr were based. Very popular women's shoes (first half of 20th century) were located here. Remington farm implements, International Harvester farm implements, lots of science discoveries and more... Delve into this place, by all means. Visit Owasco Lake, go see other towns and all of the Finger Lakes, Auburn makes a nice base. Just choose a good hotel and spoil yourself.

The check in using the kiosk took way too long!

The check in using the kiosk took way too long! over 20 minutes! The system is way too slow. Also sound wasn't good...took too long to get the key cards. we finally got the cards and they didn't work! We were pressed for time after all the nonsense. I had to get new key cards and the lady in the office gave them to me in less than a minute! Why I has to use the kiosk when she was just sitting in the office while I was very upset it was taking so long! We should have had plenty of time to get ready for a wedding but we just made it! The room also had a funny smell when ate air conditioner was on.

Folks were pleasant and food was delicious. Close to hiking trails and easy to find. Would definitely book this hotel again!

There is lots to do in this region.

There is lots to do in this region. We visited over fourth of July. First evening, had a delightful dinner on the veranda at Oak & Vale restaurant at Springside Inn. Delicious. Spent a day on Owasco Lake and visited several waterfalls which are always lot of fun. Wear hiking shoes or good sneakers as the rocks can be very slippery when wet/damp. Stopped in to the Harriet Tubman House but it was closed due to CoVid-19 restrictions. Alas, it was one of the main reasons we came to the area. Had an outstanding brunch at the Aurora Inn and walked through the quirky/charming little town of Aurora. Visited MacKenzie-Childs near Aurora. My wife loved it. Beautiful property. We stumbled upon a winery near Aurora called "Long Point"; not one of the big ones, but the wine was very good and brought home a case. Staff are great but ask for Russ. Very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Spent about two hours there. A great place to spend the afternoon especially if it is raining or really hot. Stopped into Skaneateles on the way home which is a quaint town with shopping and several good restaurants. Plan to spend a couple of hours along the waterfront. Visit the town pier; it gives a great view of some of the fabulous mansions nearby. It is also right next to the tour boat (we didn't have time to go on the boat). We ate at the Blue Water Grill which is on the water and next to the town pier. Not bad. Portions are large, and are shareable. The Skaneateles Bakery is also great little spot.

We had multiple family groups in town for a wedding over the weekend of the 8th. This hotel was chosen because of the rate and proximity to event locations. The facility was also within walking distant of several shops, restaurants-would highly recommend Gretchen’s which sits in the street in the back side of the hotel. The accommodation overall could be classified as “it’s a bed to sleep in for the night”. Beds were a little on the more firm side, microwave and fridge were included in the two Queen rooms.

This is a very well furnished house with so many things right. The beds were so unbelievably comfy, I hate my bed at home now. Loved that it was pet friendly so we could bring along our dog - no way we wanted to be away from her for so long! There are some fun details in the house. Ladies, don't be afraid to lift the toilet seat and take a peak haha. The owners were also really easy and great to communicate with. Would absolutely stay again next time we visit family.

It was easy to check in and out. Parking was great. The room had everything I would want-TV, frig, microwave, and hair dryer. It was on the first floor and convenient to the place I came to visit in Auburn. It was an excellent basic motel.

Assistant Manager VERY rude and disrespectful. Got close up to my face, argued with me. I was judged before I even got a chance to get to the room. Ruined my daughter’s birthday and Easter surprise. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Perfect set-up for 2-3 adults. Safe area. King size bed was very comfortable. The view from the apartment was wonderful - pretty street view. Noise from pub downstairs was louder on weekends, but it never bothered us. Added to be ambiance…

There was no breakfast at this location. There was no room service, even after we complained. The hotel is dated from the 1970s and has never been upgraded. We were very disappointed.
