This is a very special place indeed. The staff are so friendly and helpful with anything you need. The rooms are luxurious and really make you feel like you are staying somewhere special. The food is Michelin quality and I highly recommend you make dinner reservations, it was some of the best food we had in Japan.

3 minutes walk from the Kamakura station. Also a couple of minutes to the Kocho street. Great location to either go to the beach or into the mountains.
The hotel is very nice and clean. All the facilities and supplies are really considerable. I especially like the big bathroom. Used it every day. Excellent experience!

I greatly appreciate the very helpful and friendly staff. The room was spacious with a large bed. There was a selection of Asian and European breakfast. The European breakfast was very well prepared and tasty. The beach is just a few meters from the hotel. Unfortunately, we made a spontaneous decision and stayed only one night, but it is definitely worth staying longer.

Hasadera temple is a must see, especially during spring or autumn. In addition we visited Enoshima at dusk. Per end of november they have the whole garden and tower covered with small lights. When the weather allows you can see Mt Fuji in sunset. A hidden gem is Zeniarai Benten shrine. It is a natural spring tucked away between jagged rocks in a little valley. Legend goes that if you wash your money in the spring, it will multiply.

One should check one's room at check-in. Ours was definitely under-equipped: no chairs, no reading light, no handle in bathtub, very limited storage space for clothes, dangerous change in floor level. Otherwise, a very attractive hotel: nice patio and restaurant, beautiful landscaping, etc.

We loved our day in Kamakura!
We loved our day in Kamakura! Our hotel (Kamakura Prince Hotel) overlooked both the sea and Mt Fuji which was incredible. We used the Enoden to get around but mostly walked. We ate lunch by the beach, visited Kotoku-in and even went inside the Buddha (so interesting to see what it looked like inside!), then took a walking trail to Zeniarai Benten shrine which was beautiful. We didn't get to go to Enoshima unfortunately, but had a lovely time aside from that!

Nice area with some tourist attractions - but most of the touristy parts are around Kamakura station. If you go up to see the Buddha and Hase Temple, there are less tourist-style shops despite being the main attractions of the area. The tourist shops around Kamakura itself are nice but the same fare you get in the rest of Japan - cute textile items made in Japan, yukatas, 'instabae' cafes and matsuri-style food.
I would personally say the Great Buddha is somewhat underwhelming, but Hasedera is one of the loveliest temples I've been to in Japan.
It's easy to get between Kamakura and Hase using the Enoshima electric railway, and there are several beaches in the area. We personally went to Yuigahama which seemed like a nice family beach - drinking alcohol isn't allowed - unlike Enoshima beach, which is often full of drunk young people. I am often a young drunk person too, but the types of people at Enoshima beach are likely to get drunk and try to 'nanpa' (pick up) young women. Instead, Yuigahama had many families and young couples and a good security and lifeguard presence.
Along the whole coast of Kamakura and Enoshima, be careful of the birds (specifically crows and black kites) as they may try to steal food. Many crows were rifling through people's, whereas a kite stole an ice cream right out of my hand.

This very charming and picturesque old Capital of Japan is situated between mountains on one side and the beach with Enoshima island on the other side. The old history and culture is present almost everywhere with lots of beautiful buildings, temples and shrines. Ideal for a couple of days sightseeing close to Tokyo and lovely walks along the beach.
Make sure to visit Hasedera Temple, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Enoshima.
Healthy "samurai" breakfast prepared with love. Absolutely awesome host with a sense of humour and very devoted to accommodate disabled folks and foreigners. My amazing room full of trinkets from the past, the facilities, his hospitality, kindness and empathy, the guided tour I did with him, all these were just the best ever experienced in Japan accommodation. (and I have seen so many!). This is my number one! The ghosts did not disturb me, made me feel at home, they did not want me to leave.
Really loved the beds and facilities out of 4 hostels I've stayed during my trip to Japan this round. It's about 5-10 minutes walk from the station with a supermarket on the way. The staff were kind to lend an umbrella when requested. The bed size was really comfy, with lots of space to put some bags at the edge of the bed for a 163 cm tall person. The bunk bed structure was really sturdy and gave the privacy needed between beds as well. 10/10 will come back if I ever visit Kamakura again.
Finally, it's no longer a Japanese-style plastic bathroom resembling a mold, but instead a tastefully designed Japanese tile bathroom. The cement walls and wooden veneer in the room are also carefully crafted.
Another thing I love is that it's conveniently located near a train station, but once you're inside, it's surprisingly peaceful. It feels like a hidden garden within the city, with the morning sunlight streaming into the room, creating a very comfortable atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is perfectly located, two steps from the beach and right next to a tram stop if you want to get to the center of Kamakura and other train stations. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and you had the possibility to privatise their onsen, which was a great way to wind down after walking all around Kamakura visiting all the sights. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the staff was lovely.
Bed was super comfortable, the shower was nice, the AC was convenient, and it had large windows (though not much of a view). The slippers were better than usual! Very nice looking place, I was happy to be there. Separate toilet facilities were good too. The reception was very helpful and used easy enough Japanese that a novice like me could understand. Short walking distance to shops, beach and station was awesome!
The property is very well located, Koshigoe station is just over a min walk and Enoshima 25 min walk.
The owners were very kind and helpful.
The mattresses and pillows give the impression not to be comfortable but they turned out to be good and we have no complaints.
We were able to keep some food in the fridge and cook our breakfast.
We are glad we stay in Koshigoe and not near Kamakura Station.
Nice traditional hotel of Japan style, feels like a guest home cuz guests are young and friendly but everyone have their room. The staff is enthusiastic and adorable, connecting me one day in advance to show the way and check-in method. There’s also a beatiful yard and suit to take a rest with Japanese wooden sandals. If there are dispose toothbrushs, toothpastes and shavers it could be better.
We loved it because we were able to cooked some foods ;). The beach is so close. The staffs( Mao & Kota) are so friendly, accommodating ,generous and very entertaining :). Walking distance from kamakura and wadazuka station. They let us used one of their surfboard which is so AWESOME!!!
SAYONARA PARTY WAS AMAZING!!!
great location, only an 11 minute easy walk to Kotokuin-In temple. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The host was wonderful, he gave us lots of information and was extremely helpful and kind. Having a level of understanding of Japanese is almost essential, as host speaks very little English.
Comfortable modern hotel right in the center of Kamakura. The only hotel during our two week stay in Japan that let us check in before 3pm. I loved the layout of the room with seating area and bathroom/shower room. The hotel was close to the station and the shrine and an easy walk to the beach.
We stayed two nights, my wife and my child, 8. Bushi and company was the best thing that happened to us in Japan, an unforgettable experience and they made good friends with the little one. The house is very authentic and we keep very good memories, the perfect situation, we loved Kamakura.
We had a great stay at Casa Kamakura, which is located close to the beach. Yuka-San and Suu-San are exceptional hosts. The house is decorated with a lot of love for details and many cool things to see. We will definitely stay here again if we are back to Japan.
The location is great, it doesn’t take even 1 minute to reach Hase station (just 2 stations from Kamakura). Also the staffs were very kind and funny.
Besides all of it the hostel design is very cute. I love everything.
Great price for all the experience.
The staff was very helpful and kind. I have found that to be common at all Prince hotels I have stayed at. The view of the ocean was great. The food in the restaurant was very good, although a little expensive.
Breakfast was one of the best (Japanese traditional food), and my little daughter liked everything! The beach is located 10 minutes walk on foot. Overall a very convenient place to go with a family!
Very nice hotel! The room is bigger than I thought before, it’s clean and comfortable. The location is very close to JR station and Kamakura Komachi Tsutomu. Whatever, enjoy the trip!
the beds were so comfy and the air conditioner was industrial strength. Also eating a delicious Japanese style breakfast while enjoying a beach view will be a great summer memory!
