Clean, spacious, well appointed rooms. The communal areas were nicely decorated and clean. Staff were exceptionally polite and friendly, Mike in particular was brilliant , especially with our inquisitive 5 year old! The price point of meals were sensible for a hotel restaurant and the food at dinner and breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

We adore the Wheatacre White Lion. We've stayed several times and it never disappoints. Jay's team work so hard and they're a great credit to him. The atmosphere is so laid back but everything works like a swiss watch. We particularly love the menu; we had sea trout which was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back!

The views from the conservatory where we had breakfast were stunning and quite compensated for the location on the edge of town. Anne our host was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was generous with an array of fresh fruit as well as a cooked breakfast and croissants.
