Karl and Jocelyn were lovely. The room was comfortable, the bathroom had a large shower.

The staff were fantastic, we called ahead and asked for an early check in as we were getting ready for a wedding that day and they sorted it all out for us which was such a huge help! Rooms were lovely and parking was very easy.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable, good shower but bathroom very confined, no toiletries provided other than towels and toilet rolls, tea and coffee available, bottom line friendly staff, good value for money in that all I needed was accommodation for the night.
The Old Rectory is set in Dorchester, 30 km from Golden Cap, 37 km from Corfe Castle, as well as 40 km from Poole Harbour.

Breakfast not included but there are plenty of places to eat very close to the property. It was so close to the town but still very quiet area. Dorchester is a beautiful old town with a lot of very interesting shops and most were open on Bank Holiday Monday and all very welcoming. Loved Goulds with the coffee shop such a beautiful shop.
Little Court is a delightful Edwardian Country House with fabulous gardens, just 1 mile from the centre of historic Dorchester, and just 20 minutes from the World Heritage ‘Jurassic Coast’.

Little Court is a lovely house set in wonderful grounds with lovely views. It was very clean and comfortable. Amanda is an excellent host and the breakfast was also very good. We stayed there to visit relatives who lived very close by. There is also a very good pub nearby (walking distance) which does excellent food and there are also some excellent walks.
Built in 1635, The Old Tea House provides bed and breakfast in one of Dorchester’s oldest houses. With free Wi-Fi, this Dorset guest house serves homemade food including a full cooked breakfast.

It’s a pretty hamlet, very close to stunning scenery, and lots of good walking. Dorchester is only a short drive, as is Weymouth. Abbotsbury is five minutes away as well as lots of other beautiful places to explore.
A very busy road runs through it, which is a shame. There are buses, but I suggest a car is easiest. Dorchester and Weymouth are both short drives away, lots of eating there. There’s a newly refurbished pub doing food in Winterborne Abbas itself.
