Location is excellent in the centre of the village and catches the evening sun. The hosts were friendly and helpful, locking my bike away, and the single room provided everything needed.
The evening meal in the bar was very good and a choice of breakfast options was available.

Breakfast was very poor the first morning, went down at 8.50. Lots of missing items , no orange juice, cold coffee, no eggs, no pastries, food Luke warm. Asked for pastries for my wife none came and no one updated us. None of the above with exception of the eggs were replaced. Staff very indifferent to our request.
Second morning breakfast was as it should be, different staff on duty my have been the difference..

Bertram's is a restaurant with rooms in the picturesque village of Warkworth. The breakfast is possibly the best that I have had anywhere in the UK. Very generous portions and top quality ingredients. The Kipper was excellent, as was the Full English. The fresh orange juice was actually freshly squeezed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. MY advice would be to make sure that you book a table in the restaurant ahead of your visit.
