Two Bridges Hotel, hotel in Two Bridges

In Dartmoor National Park, the Two Bridges Hotel has stunning countryside views and overlooks the River Dart. The hotel offers luxurious traditionally-styled rooms and has a restaurant.

Dinner was very good (cloth napkins) but breakfasts were excellent and as good as any you will get, anywhere. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern (new) and clean. Lovely dated interiors with lots of historic photographs - very nicely done. Lovely fresh water, on tap! Very pleasant welcoming staff - couldn't be faulted. Creaky floors go with the age of the building - lovely! The location is idyllic with easy access to the moors and its walks, pubs and villages.

East Dart Inn, hotel in Two Bridges

Situated in Yelverton, 31 km from Newton Abbot Racecourse, East Dart Inn features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

A beautifully renovated pub in the middle of Dartmoor with extremely friendly staff that made the pub nights a true experience. Many details to make our stay even more pleasant: free towels for wet dogs, a separate room with pool table and darts, really dog-friendly people (that love presenting their personal ´pooch of the week´ on their facebook and instagram sites), the family atmosphere you can feel all over the house and also outside in the beer garden. Right next to the house, you can start endless walks through the national park, with all its ponies and sheep and historic monuments.

location is perfect for walks either local or car drive away. Princetown close by, Prison Museum, Haytor has a good visitor centre and places to grab a bite. Tavistock has sister hotel, Bedford hotel, static market is great as is the 2 weekly pannier market. Geese (6) and ducks (4 ducklings) a lovely distraction. Hotel has ambience, it's v cosy but not claustrophobic elegant but not OTT, old fashioned but not 'out of date'. Interesting artefacts, memorabilia. V comfy fireside chairs. Lovely staff, can't do enough for you from the housekeeping crew to the reception and dining/bar staff. They care that you should have a good break.

We had the opportunity for a Bank Holiday break booked at two days notice and the Two Bridges delivered everything we wanted. The location on Dartmoor is sheltered by the local topography, it's in a dip adjacent to the road, but offers outstanding views within a few hundred metres of the hotel for possibly twenty miles in some direction. There is nothing of the normal near to the hotel. If you desire splendid remoteness without being massively isolated the Two Bridges is the place. Parts of the hotel date to the late C18th, the lawned gardens provide space, the river flows through the grounds and the hotel has geese, ducks and sheep roaming free within the grounds. The room (No 36) was excellent, the lounge, siting rooms and dining room have some wonderful artefacts from bygone eras, the food plentiful, beautifully cooked and served and the Staff were awesome.

You would struggle to find a hotel that matches the two bridges in terms of location, it's stunning and the hotel is charming. The food is very good! The only downside is the interior, aside from the restaurant it could do with a freshen up. But in terms of value for money, there are no negatives.

Charming, low key but twinkly hosts who made this such an easy, relaxing first hotel stay with our dog. Fantastic location for walks and views, lovely sausages for breakfast, lots of safe garden space for the dog to play and make friends. If you are lucky you might even get a live jazz concert in the evening too. You feel Chris and Sue really enjoy what they do.

Nicely situated in the Moors, the hotel has a polished charm of the old Inns from times gone by. The rooms are warmly decorated, beds are very comfortable and the nights are quiet: All you need when coming back from a day’s hiking. in the evening the log fires are lit. Breakfast are of good quality and staff, by and large, helpful.

Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was nice but rather expensive and could have more choice on the ale carte menu. Afternoon cream teas very good. The location was excellent being in the heart of the moors. Also, that it was a dog friendly hotel with doggie treats on arrival, was a plus too.

Amazing ! The B&B is a 20' walk from Two Bridges, 3' by car. Breakfast was divine and they made me a sack lunch for £6 that included a sandwich, crisps, banana and KitKat, really nice. From there, easy access to many hikes including the enchanting Wistman's woods!
