Full English Breakfast with Black Pudding... Excellent... You HAVE TO STAY for dinner... it's a MUST!!! This gem is a little off the beaten track but even getting there on those single track roads is the starting point of the experience. It was hands down the best stay in our week long B&B travel tour through Cornwall

The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel is 4 star, however the staff there are a lot better than some of the 5 star hotels. I would like to specially thank Cameron, with his very professional and warm manner for serving.

We booked this hotel as it was the cheapest one in the area for the night we needed. The staff member that greeted us was very friendly and efficient. The room was practical and clean however it was quite warm, and due to the road noise opening the window wasn't an option. They had recently installed a stand alone air con unit but it only seemed to work on full fan speed which was far too loud for sleeping with. There was no breakfast available at the time of our stay which was disappointing but we were made aware of this at the time of booking.

We booked this online as it was on the way back from somewhere else we had to visit and didn't really look at reviews.
The pub was amazing! The journey into it is through windy country lanes but well worth it when you arrive. A thatched roof pub, unspoilt inside with friendly and welcoming staff.
Our room (double ensuite) had everything we needed, a welcome tea and coffee tray, bottled water and the bonus of complimentary white and red wine (very nice touch!). The bathroom was also sparkling clean and had everything we needed.
After a lovely walk around the area in the afternoon (courtesy of a map left in the information booklet in the room) we came back to the pub for a few drinks and a lovely meal, which was delicious and good value for money.
Had a great nights sleep in a comfortable bed and peaceful quiet surroundings.
Breakfast (which you ordered the night before and was included in the price of the room) was everything we could have wanted, delicious and was served at the time we chose.
Wifi is also included in the room price and although we didn't really use it, useful for anyone who does!
The next day we followed another map that was in the room and travelled a few miles to Dogmarsh Bridge and walked across to Fingle Bridge, an amazing walk with the most spectacular views along the River and the Fingle Bridge Inn halfway along your circular route (another place to sit, relax and take in the views!)
Loved every minute of this stay and would (and already have) recommended to friends and will hopefully be back again in the very near future.
