The house and furnishings have great character. We requested a simple breakfast, taken in the Morning room, which was lovely.
The ensuite shower was fantastic, and we really enjoyed our walk aroung the walled garden.

A warm welcome from the hosts, Kim and Tim, was just the beginning of our perfect stay. From the scones and jam to the little details like fresh flowers, bottles of water, sweeties, biscuits and tea and coffee in the room. The views surrounding the property were beautiful and if you like wild life watching - plenty to spot. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows, spotlessly clean and serviced every day. Nothing seemed too much trouble - a real home from home. Cooked breakfasts were made to order and to your liking. Different cereals, breads, porridge and fruit and yogurt if you desired. Kim’s kindness was exceptional and she spent time getting to know us and suggest places to visit and eat. A lovely genuine lady who works hard and deserves the top ratings that she gets!

The town is a bit down at heel, we found a great Italian restaurant though, might have been called ponte vechio, can't remember, tourist office is now in the museum, sadly the museum costs £8.50 with no discounts which I think is too expensive.
We did a self guided town tour and there are interesting buildings / histoy but no buildings open
They have a variety of shops including a department store, tesco m and s
Wetherspoons does cheap meals but is very busy and a dark building but ok for lunch

We live just over the Devon border in Somerset and Tiverton is a good location to shop if you want to go to different supermarkets or the indoor market for local produce. We went for an event, held in the pannier market, which was full of stalls and good food and drinks vendors. It is easy to get around Tiverton and people are friendly and helpful. Fantastic Tiverton Museum and trips along the Grand Western Canal Country Park.

Nice spacious room especially as we had two dog sleeping crates. Very pet friendly. Breakfast hot food was disappointing often not warm enough and or dried out from being under lamps too long. Restaurant menu was a bit limited which meant we ate away from the hotel most days

Tiverton is a Devon market town with a good atmosphere.
Tiverton is a Devon market town with a good atmosphere. Good location for days out to Exeter, Exmouth and near Knighthayes NT. Good transport facilities, railway is 6 miles out of town but bus service into Tiverton
The location was brilliant and just a small stroll away from lovely restaurants & pubs. We were made to feel so welcome by Richard & Ling from the moment we arrived. The rooms were very comfortable and we had a great view over the river. The breakfasts were also absolutely lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely love to stay again and would recommend this place to everyone visiting Tiverton! Much nicer than standard hotels
It’s definitely the best home-hotel I’ve ever had during my traveling in the UK. The room is big and cozy and with all facilities I need. It’s close to the station too. I had to check out early so the hotel prepared me a big pack of breakfast.(I’m sorry I don’t know the gentleman’s name.) I really appreciate that…. Anyway, everything was perfect!!! It’s such a shame I just stayed there for one night,i hope I could go back Tiverton again:)
Lovely Inn staff very pleasant, obviously covid restrictions made it a little hard to socialise with people, but that is no fault of the manager. The food was nice although it could have had more choices for vegetarians. The bed was extremely comfortable in fact I would say one of the best hotel beds I have ever slept in. There is a lovely museum in Tiverton which is worth a visit. Booking is required due to covid restrictions.
Lovely castle/ stately home to stay in. An absolute joy to have found. Quirkier and much more interesting than any chain hotel. And who doesn't want to tell their friends they've stayed in a castle.
Nice comfy room. Plenty of space outdoors, do seek out the trampoline if you are staying with kids.
Not all rooms are in the actual castle but the lodges and cottages, that we stayed in, are just as interesting.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hartnoll Hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly, we had a lovely room which was larger than we expected as it was called a "cosy double". The food was excellent, especially the homemade bread. Locationwise it is possible to walk about quarter of an hour along a footpath to arrive at Knightshays NT property, which is very well worth a visit.
This was a great find conveniently located close to the town center. The manager was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The facilities were VERY clean and the rooms were spacious. Manager went above and beyond to sort us out some breakfast as we had set off very early in the morning before the cooked breakfast was served. I would definitely use again when visiting Tiverton.
Location 5 -6 mins from M5 motorway junction for Tiverton.
Great village pub.
Evening meals good choice and good quality.
Breakfast met all expectation.
Good size rooms for a old traditional public house.
Good sized car park to the rear, entrance a little tight for larger vans but you can get in without any issue.
The property looks even better in person than in pictures. We visited late September and the surrounding area was beautiful. The beds were so comfortable and warm. The hosts were amazing, they were helpful, welcoming and the welcome gift was delicious! The property was clean and well stocked with everything we needed.
Everything was just perfect for us. Parked opposite the property. Allowed to check in a bit early, well-equipped and spotless bedroom and bathroom, quiet at night (even though central). Amazing selection of teas for breakfast! Friendly host. We’ve stayed elsewhere in Tiverton and this was better value.
this place is a wonerful spot for those whom enjoy peice and serenitry , history of the place is fancinating , and those whom love castles and archutecture the surronding area is full of.
the hosts were exceptional happy to help in anyway, this is a beautiful spot and we will be visiting again
My second stay at Brambles was every bit as good as the first. Alison was very welcoming and every detail was thought of to make my room and stay comfortable. The full English breakfast was a treat. A peaceful location with lovely countryside views just a short distance from Tiverton.
Very friendly hosts. Allowed us to park our motornike securely at back of hotel. Slept well. Nice and quiet. Breakfast was fine. V central location for visiting Tiverton. V reasonable price.
Excellent room. Lovely host. Very clean. Very quiet.. I travel alot for work and this B+B is one of the nicest around...will definitely stay again if in the area...thanks..
