Breakfast was lovely, the room was clean. It was really interesting to see that Mary Queen of Scots had stayed here, there were some really cool artefacts in the hallway relating to the hotel and how it used to be.

The service was second to none. You get the sense the Hotel is very well managed as everyone is genuinely friendly and appear to enjoy their work.

Everything was fantastic! Rooms were lovely, quiet, comfortable and luxurious. Dinner was really great and breakfast the next morning had good choices and was made to order.

Recently renovated and done to a high standard, rooms are big well equipped and comfortable, spa has great modern clean facilities. Breakfast was excellent and good value. Bar has nice atmosphere and good selection of drinks and snacks. Buxton is a lovely old town and there's good places to eat. The tapas bar round the corner is excellent
