South cave is a beautiful little village, every garden seems to be well kept. The people are very friendly and there are some lovely cafes with home cooked food at a very reasonable price. A mystery person makes woollen toppers for the post box, it was a dragon when I went and it apparently gets changed every few months. South Cave has a couple of pubs and a few shops, it's a very pleasant and well kept large village. Then there is Cave Castle. The grounds of Cave Castle are splendid and an ideal place to relax and unwind. The staff were very busy and it was Christmas Eve but that didn’t stop them being really cheerful and friendly. All staff were just lovely and went out of their way to look after everyone. The food is exceptional and excellent value for money as well.
