Well situated and exactly what was needed for a couple of nights stay over. Lovely, modern and spacious bathroom. Comfy and very quiet night's sleep for a hotel above Wetherspoons ! Convenient for breakfast too .

Skelmersdale itself is just okay, but the opportunity to visit the surrounding area is worth it. A visit to Martin Mere Wetlands Trust is a must, also Dunham Massey for the deerpark. Pimbo garden Centre has a fantastic cafe and lovely friendly and helpful staff
