Beautiful location it is a prestigious golf club first and foremost The views a green and rolling hills the Manor House is a listed building. The accommodation is modern in an annexe which seems very new. Good en-suite room which was good value for room only. Will look forward to sitting on the terrace admiring the views again later this year. The staff were lovely, thank you to Ebony for being helpful and engaging.

Easy to find and good location. Lovely breakfast. First room was poor with window needing replacement as could not close with 2inch gap (known problem but still got allocated it which is poor show). Complained and got moved to lovely family room (maintenance issues there too since shower was stuck on boiling hot water only, an HSE hazard which got fixed the next day. Vanity glass shelf missing but large fixings still present... needs TLC to tidy up). A nice hotel needing a maintenance rosta.
We were visiting friends and family in the area, so Shepley...
We were visiting friends and family in the area, so Shepley was a convenient central point with easy access by car or train. There's nothing in Shepley that would encourage you to visit specifically, but it was a good central point for our needs.
Food shopping at the forever open Coop mini market and a Chinese/Thai takeaway resolve hunger issues if you have a kitchen available. Also there are so many good pubs and restaurants in nearby towns and villages that you'd need a lifetime to try them all.
However, avoid the Black Bull in Shepley. It's the antithesis of the welcoming Yorkshire pub - horrible boutique beers and a high proportion of drunken customers among the few we found on Saturday night.
