The Quality and Service from staff members during our stay was absolutely outstanding. Kudos to them, I have stayed in hotels across the world and I have generally found that UK Hotels are distinctly below par in service, staff attitude and quality. Matfen Hall is most certainly not. The staff are very nice especially the restaurant staff in the main restaurant, I can’t remember the gentleman’s name but he greeted us for the evening on Sunday and he oozed charisma. Will definitely be staying here again and embarrass myself on one of the courses.

Elizabeth was extremely welcoming and friendly. The views were absolutely stunning. We loved hearing the sheep/lambs and seeing the horses.
I personally loved my 1st ever experience of bottle feeding a lamb 😍 x the beds were super comfy. We will definitely be coming back but next time it will be just myself and my partner.
We didn't want to come home to all the noise and pollution of the traffic.
My partner and I could really see ourselves living somewhere like this when he retires in about 20 years or so.
