Monturpie Guest House, hotel in Saint Monance

Located in Kirkton of Largo and only 17 km from St Andrews University, Monturpie Guest House provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

We stayed 2 nights while moving out of our holiday house. The accommodation was excellent; comfortable beds, amazing views, quiet location but less than a mile to Upper Largo and just over 10 miles from St Andrews. Although we didn't have the afternoon tea this time, we have in the past and it is well worth having if you are there on the days it is offered. Breakfast was excellent with a full cooked breakfast plus cereals, fruit (fresh strawberries when we were there). There are a number of bird feeders so you can birdwatch while eating breakfast. Monturpie is a lovely place to stay in the East Neuk of Fife, our favourite part of the world. And if it's important - the Wifi was excellent.

Belstane House, hotel in Saint Monance

Located in the small fishing village of Cellardyke, just a 13-minute walk from Anstruther, Belstane House is a 16th century house with a garden, facing the seafront and looking towards the Isle of May...

The view was amazing. Although there was a tv with many options there was no need as you can just sit at the window and watch the sea. The room wasn't just a bedroom but had a living room. Felt more like an apartment, very spacious. The hosts were friendly and were there for anything you needed but not intrusive. When I need a sea fix, i will definitely be back.

    St Monance is beautiful.

St Monance is beautiful. It has a lovely wee cafe called the Giddy Gannet and a fantastic restaurant called the East Pier Smokehouse. There is a natural sea pool for wild swimming. It is a half hour coastal walk to Pittenweem with lots of cafes, a great pub and excellent restaurant called the Dory Bistro. There is lots of history in the area to explore. Downside was that there were no cafes open on a Sunday or Monday but pittenweem had a few.

Lovely place which is very quiet but that was good for us but if you want to eat at the restaurant at the harbour would advise to book in advance as it closes at 7:30 pm Would be nice if there was a nice bar which closest is elie Would also recommend booking the ship inn at elie and book there shuttle bus as we did this as it is no charge it if you stay within 5 mile radius of the restaurant was ideal for us and can take a max of 8

    Absolutely stunning cottage.

Absolutely stunning cottage. Brand new and fresh, had everything you could possible need for your stay. A lovely welcome bottle and sweet treat, with a welcome card was a nice personal touch. A quiet street, never slept so well In the comfortable bed. Nautical decor, so modern and tasteful, like a little beach house. Breakfast in the private garden with plenty seating areas to enjoy. Excellent location to walk to Bowhouse Farm for some nibbles as well as beautiful coastal walks and fresh seafood. We have already booked again for summer and can’t wait to return. Hosts were in contact and accommodating for early check in, Thank you!

St Monance is a fishing village in Fife with a working harbour. It's on the East Fife coastal path and a good base for exploring the coastal villages from Elie to St Andrews. The East Pier is a good fish restaurant and the Diving Gannet cafe does good coffee and cake also hot breakfast rolls and it's just round the corner from Daisy cottage.

St Monans is a pretty and quiet small fishing village on the East Neuk of Fife with nearby coastal walks to neighbouring fishing villages. For more to do and see, well worth spending some time in St Andrews.
