This was a total scam, booked on this site to find that the place had switched ownership and couldn’t get through on any of the phone numbers, thanks to my constant digging I got a number. Spoke with a man to tell me the booking would be void and would have to pay at reception for the stay and go through booking.com for a refund. Still currently waiting on this refund but honestly I will be the last time I use this site and will never recommend this service to anyone. You have been warned!!!!!

It suited us for a two night stay. The food was good and ticked all the boxes. The chef actually came round to ask if everything was ok which it was.

I didn't have the chance to visit Rothwell as the hotel chain, OYO, cancelled my booking leaving me stranded without any accommodation - there was no alternative local accommodation available as it was Silverstone weekend and all the other places were full.

Rothwell is a small town, with a few shops, bars and restaurants. We enjoyed lunch at The Old Bank, where the food was exceptional, very tasty.
There is one main car park which serves the town, if you’re attending an event, go early the car park gets busy, particularly on a Saturday night.

Rothwell is a great central base if wanting to explore this part of Northamptonshire.
Plenty of history and tranquil charm if you want to escape into the local countryside. The centre of Rothwell has excellent facilities. Plenty of well priced accommodation, including Rothwell House, The Red Lion and The Blue Bell. Easy to get to with very handy A14 connection.
We stayed when the property had been recently refurbished and it was perfect. Within a stroll of Rothwell- a beautiful old village with good pubs, fish & chips, Tesco and friendly Co-op shops. Very comfortable for 3, it accommodates up to 7. Very well equipped kitchen, large tv with Netflix, iPlayer and Freeview. Good central heating. Attentive service from the owners included festive decorations at Xmas, a nice touch. Highly recommended.
My stay was very comfortable especially for the price… The staff were wonderful and the cleaner always greeted you will a smile and pleasant conversation… the hotel is right on the high street there’s a small Tesco, Co op, few pubs, lots of quaint coffee shops, wonderful restaurants and a good selection of delicious takeaways….
The staff at the hotel were great. Check in was easy despite the fact it was a busy night. Sausage and mash from the dinner menu was good pub grub, well prepared and served. The room was clean and tidy and met my expectations when booking a room in a pub.
The location of The Red Lion was in the centre of Rothwell which was great. The room wasn't that big but the beds were comfy and had a good night's sleep. Overall stay was good value for money.
