End of the day it was an old building that let's be honest has seen better days."BUT" It was clean and everything worked. The staff were helpful. It was £65 for the two of us.The place wasn't exactly sound proof but that was the fault of the guests not being considerate when leaving at 5.30 AM.Other than that nice place.Lot of character.Bit of investment and it could be boutique.

A quiet village about 10 minutes from the M6 north of Carlisle alongside the River Eden. Apart from Church View, the pub has re-opened (hooray), but does not currently serve food after 5 on Sunday (a disappointment).
