My wife and I had a lovely birthday celebration at the Outbuildings. The Coop room was lovely for us and our dog, and the outdoor bath was exceptionally relaxing after a day walking the beach. I also organised the Orchard experience with the hotel, which was great and the food was delicious. The hotel also catered to our food allergies which we were very grateful for. Overall a peaceful and restorative stay, we would love to return.

Tiny little place - but great for walking (except the weather was wet and windy when we were there!).
The position is good for exploring / travelling to other popular areas of Dorset - inland and coastal.

Such a beautiful area, typically Dorset country.
Such a beautiful area, typically Dorset country. Rolling hills, gentle green slopes, undulating countryside, beautiful sea views. Good pubs in the area without having to go too far. Beautiful villages close by, attractive houses, a few independent small shops but mostly keeping the villages as close to how you might expect a Dorset village to look.

Puncknowle (pronounced Punnel) is a very quiet village situated just North of Swyre on the B3157 (the most amazing views of Chesil Beach and The Fleet when travelling east towards Weymouth). Surrounded by rolling hills and arable farmland with easy access to Dorchester, Bridport or Weymouth, it would make an ideal base for walkers and cyclists alike. Chesil Beach and the Jurassic Coast can be reached by foot or bike via West Bexington (under 2 miles), and there are plenty of good tea houses or traditional country pups in the surrounding villages. The stretch of coastline between West Bay in the West and Portland in the East offers some of the most interesting geology and the coastal road is packed with stunning views.
The Manor House is situated in a very quiet but extremely beautiful hamlet on the coast and we really enjoyed our overnight stay there. Our room was large and nicely furnished with views of the coast line. All the staff were friendly and we enjoyed our meal in the evening in the hotel. Food was good and service efficient and friendly. Breakfast was good with an extensive breakfast menu. The location is beautiful and the hotel grounds are relaxing, gardens well maintained and with stunning views all around.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We used The Manor House as a base to support my husband and daughter to complete the Jurassic Coast 100k Ultra marathon, which meant we were under some time constraints for meals and leaving and entering the property, which were all met without any issues.
Would love to return under more relaxed circumstances.
We loved the view from our room.
Rooms are comfortable and clean.
Staff friendly , great food. We loved the evening meal and great breakfast. The Hotel has bar and restaurant.
Beach nearby, perfect location in Dorset countryside near to beach. Amazing views.
Perfect relaxing break. 10/10
A delightful thatched cottage in a good village location within 2 miles of Chesil Beach. Our holiday was out of season and we were greeted with a lovely warm centrally heated house. The cottage had bags of quirky character.
The Manor House is in a beautiful setting just a ten minute walk from the sea with beautiful views. Very peaceful with a lovely dining room to enjoy breakfast and a delicious restaurant. very friendly team working there.
Modern and very clean with a well equipped kitchen and fittings of a high standard. Separate bathroom, comfy bed in a quiet location. Good parking facilities, good pub with decent food within a short walk.
The Manor house was good value for money and the staff were really lovely and accommodating as we arrived quite late. Fantastic breakfast the next day!
