The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was very good, the room was great as it was an upgrade on what I booked. some issues with water and heating but soon sorted out this only caused me to miss out on a swim in the indoor pool as I had other things planned in the short 2 day stay.

Tyacks Hotel, hotel in Praze an Beeble

Situated just off the A30 in Camborne, the 3-star Tyacks Hotel is a charming 18th-century coaching inn in the centre of Cornwall’s mining heritage area. It offers home-cooked meals and friendly staff....

Very comfortable bed, and the ensuite facilities, including the shower, were fine. There seems to have been an upgrade since we last stayed many years ago. The breakfasts were very good - and considering that you don't get a breakfast included if you stay over the road at the Wetherspoons establishment, Tyack's is the best value decent stay in town. Don't leave your breakfast arrival until the wire, however - the juices etc will disappear on the dot of closing! Good range of drinks at the bar, including St Austell's Proper Job rather than the dreaded Sharp's Doom Bar; a pool table for only 50p a game; and a good loud rock band on the Friday night we were there. Friendly staff. Nice to be back in good old Camborne. Thank you guys!

It's a great place to stay if you want to explore the whole region by car, because it's very central. There isn't much in Praze an Beeble itself ie it's not a place with shops and cafes, it's just residential with a pub, a convenience store, a pasty shop and a Fish and chip shop. We wanted to have a meal at The Croust Hut which is nearby but it closes mid afternoon and we always set out in the mornings to return late afternoon! So the only choices for dinner in the evening were nearby pubs where we found the food choices very stodgy (fish and chips, chicken curry and rice. etc etc...)

A nice sized village with a Pub, shop, and a Chippy.

A nice sized village with a Pub, shop, and a Chippy. everything closes early but Camborne is only a short drive away with plenty of takeaways and larger supermarkets etc. Location is a fantastic base for exploring the furthest south and west of the UK. Lizard point and lands end are easy drives as well as Penzance Falmouth and St Ives.

The village should get 11/10:it was on a convenient cross-country cross-roads:close to many towns:it had a doctors-surgery,a shop with a post-office,a fish and chip shop,a pasty shop,a village-green and a friendly pub that did meals. A very central location for Helston/Hayle/St.Ives/Camborne/Marazion and Penzance. (All with visitor needs).
