Staff were excellent. I arrived late due to travel delays and staff reopened the kitchen so I didn't go hungry. Everyone was really friendly.

The road to this property is exceptionally narrow and unlit.
The road to this property is exceptionally narrow and unlit. Only the width of one (small) car. As the nearest towns (Crickhowell and Abergavenny) are a good 5 miles away be aware that if you eat out at night you will be driving back in scary conditions. Not for the nervous driver. The property itself is sublime and the views are incredible. If the weather is good then ask to take breakfast on the terrace to fully appreciate.

Magical beauty, have to be fit to walk in the hills, but there are plenty of more accessible walking opportunities. Good walking shoes are essential.
Crickhowell is a charming town with lovely shops and restaurants. Taxi is affordable, can manage without driving.
If you are lucky up in the mountains, there are wild horses: an unforgettable experience in contact with untouched nature!
