Considering I was born within 2 miles of this Hotel I would give it some leeway.
The juicy details were that I was born on Friday October 12 1945. While my dad , a squadron leader in Bomber Command waited for the result with his fellow airman, rear gunner Jack White. They waited in the 3 Fiddlers Inn in Giusborough. My mother complained that the only injury during birth was a cigar burn on her thigh due to the consultant being called in from a dinner party.

We were attending an archery tournament near Great Ayton, consequently we did not spend time exploring Nunthorpe, but we found an excellent eating place at The Buck in Great Ayton. Food was good and, very unusual these days, the plates and food on them very hot.

The Cross Keys is ideally located between various members of my family. It offers a warm family welcome. The staff are lovely, polite professional and yet friendly and chatty if the circumstances are right. We often choose the for a family gathering during our visits north and the management always make sure all goes to plan, great place to stay

Old Nunthorpe is a small village on the south side of Middlesbrough at the edge of the North York Moors. Relatively close to the sea (Saltburn, Redcar, Staithes and Whitby), 10 minutes drive into the Yorkshire Dales and less an hour to Durham.
We have stayed at the Cross Keys before and found it to be a comfortable hotel in a convenient location, just outside Middlesbrough, where we were visiting relations. The location is still as convenient, but parts of the hotel have gone downhill since we were last there.
Roseberry Loft is in an ideal location for those visiting the area. Absoutely charming and has everything you need and more. Extremely comfortable and very clean. Home from home and much better than staying in a hotel
Great location for both Guisborough, Great Ayton and Nunthorpe Village where I needed to get to most of all. Staff always brilliant and breakfast great ! Pretty good value for money.
It was a lovely hotel and restaurant which has a very nice outside area. The room was nice and comfortable which had a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was delicious.
What a good value this hotel provided! The room was simple but spacious, and the restaurant was good and well-decorated. Breakfast was much better than we expected.
