Decor was quirky but possibly not to everyone’s taste. We wanted to visit Roslin chapel which is literally just over the road, so that was great. We were driving so getting in to Edinburgh is also easy - about 30 min drive depending on traffic, weather etc. accommodation has its own limited parking but plenty of on street parking outside. Cafe downstairs and pub across the road also very convenient.

Breakfast good. I had an early start one day and was provided with a good "pack breakfast". At dinner, I ordered starter which did not arrive. On pointing this out. It was delivered. By way of apology, it was not charged. Otherwise, the meal was very good.
Bedroom was small, but perfectly adequate and attractive.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
