The hosts were responsive to questions prior to arrival and very friendly. The hut was exceptional for a shepherd's hut. I've stayed in a few and this one was very well equipped and maintained to a high standard.

Location was great. Staff were extremely helpful. Hotel was clean.
It was perfect for us. It felt remote and only accessible by roads that were partially single track - yet not far (15 mins) from main resorts. Own transport is essential. Near to a cycle/walking track and great cafe. Lovely village reminding us of how things used to be.

A lovely village with the Red Squirrel Trail on what used to be a railway line offering great walks, bike rides and peace and tranquility. Great cafe (The Pedlars) and first class pub food to be had too in The Pointer Inn.
