We loved everything about this property.
We had the garden suite, which was lovely and quiet, with it’s own entrance. It had lots of space, modern large bathroom (it even had a tv in the bathroom) and a lovely comfy bed.

It was a great location. The views would have been brilliant but the weather was poor. The pool was beautiful. Fiona was really helpful and recommended a great local restaurant.

New Luce is a stunning little village, set in the glorious Scottish countryside with 2 rivers running through it.
The villagers are the warmly, friendliest villagers we have ever met. Inviting us to go to their Tai Chi classes, or evening walks. We spent a few mornings at the New Luce post office, sharing a brew and chatting with the locals.
A great base to see the fabulous southwest countryside of Scotland. We even grabbed the Stena ferry and visited Belfast.

The residents of New Luce are very friendly.
The residents of New Luce are very friendly. It's a very small remote village that I feel, demands respect. It oozes peace and quiet.
The pub was closed when we visited. Where we were staying, the couple told us that the pub now belonged to the villagers, they were refurbishing it. However, no beer would be served until sometime in 2020. (Good excuse to go back again).
Apparently, there's some very nice walks around the surrounding area which unfortunately we didn't get to do.
We did get to visit Northern Ireland, Stranraer and the Gem rock museum. New Luce is an ideal base for Scotland's south and west coast with the Port of Cairnryan approx. half an hours drive for ferries to Northern ireland
