Very convenient close to harbour, cafes, shops and station but very quiet. Clean, heated and warm. Great view of harbour and coastal landscape. Liked the little table and chairs by the window.

The hotel is definitely 3 star in terms of rooms and facilities, but the staff are 5 star. Very friendly, accommodating and super helpful. We travelled with 2 dogs and the hotel was very accommodating.

The view to the sands of morar are amazing that’s where the good review ends . We got put in room 30 at the top of the building . The shower head on the shower would not stay high enough on the rail just kept sliding down 😳 The window in the room didn’t shut right so there was a draft constantly which made the room cold . Also when the wind got up there was a constant noise which kept my wife up all night . Over all hotel very tired and dirty not worth the money avoid .

The Morar hotel is located in a small picturesque village overlooking Morar bay and sands.
My wife and I had a two night stay over and enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel staff when we used the dining room and bar facilities. All of the staff members looked after us impeccably, in particular Akram and Tuan worked hard to ensure our stay was memorable.
We would certainly recommend the Morar hotel for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Morar is very quiet which was perfect for us.
Morar is very quiet which was perfect for us. It is also very well placed for exploring the surrounding areas. The beach was perfect, just like in the photos! The hotel was excellent, a very good menu and tasty food. Welcoming atmosphere, excellent staff and nothing was too much trouble. We went to Mallaig, 3 miles away, and took a boat trip and got to see Minke whales! We also took the ferry to Skye, just 45 minutes away, and had a fantastic display by dolphins following the ferry!

Morar Hotel is a lovely refurbished hotel with great views from the restaurant and the bedroom we had. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the food was good. Excellent buffet choice at breakfast.
Mallaig was only a couple of miles away and there was a boat doing free sailings until the 31st March which we recommend. The dog also had a great holiday running around the beautiful beaches and in and out the water.
The service was first class and the rooms very clean. We had a lovely modern bathroom. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choice and diner was delicious. Had the scallops with black pudding and bacon.Akram our waiter looked after us very well and is an asset to this hotel. The manager was very visible and again asked us how our day had been. I would say this hotel goes that extra mile to ensure guests enjoy their stay.
The breakfast was priced at £12.95 per person and was over priced for what was on offer. No menu. No porridge, No fruit. No choice of egg cooking, eg omelette, scrambled or poached. No pastries at all. Sadly very poor.
Hotel location very good to beaches and railway station to watch Jacobite steam train.
Seemed short of staff, though all staff present were friendly and helpful.
Light and airy. Beautifully clean and well provided with linen and kitchen essentials etc. Lovely couple of owners very pleasant and helpful. Quiet and peaceful situation, easy to walk to loch morar, and a short scenic car or bicycle ride to mallaig or arising . Would definitely recommend it to all our friends wanting relaxing sanctuary. Easy parking for all.
The view was absolutely beautiful, it looked over the sea. The location was super convenient, we took the ferry the following morning and was just a mere 6 minute drive from Mallaig. The service was also really good, I asked for a hair dryer and one was promptly delivered by hand to my door.
Lovely traditional hotel, beautiful location, beautiful view from my room, great views from the dining room, good choices at breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. Right next to train station. Loch Morar and the Silver Sands of Morar both breathtaking and a short walk away.
Gorgeous location on the coast of Scotland. We were able to walk to Loch Morar, and down to the beach. It was only a 5 minute drive to the ferry, to continue our journey on to the Isle of Skye. The lobby decor and dining room are very nice.
The location was excellent to explore that part of the country, we had a room on the 3rd floor with a sea view which was excellent. The staff in the dining room were polite, friendly and very well organised. Decent menu choices
Location was excellent. Views of the silver sands of Morar and the Isle of Skye were spectacular. Staff at the hotel were friendly, professional and attentive. Good standards in room and throughout the hotel.
The only dog friendly place available on the night we just had to pass through Mallaig.
Friendly staff!!
Near Beach and railway station.
Looks like it has some history.
Wonderful beach views.
Staff made every effort to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable despite being short staffed. Hands off to the very pleasant restaurant manager who went above & beyond!
Fabulous views across the river to the island of Mull. The hotel itself is fine, nothing exceptional but nothing to complain about either. Staff were friendly.
