The proprietors Euan & Emma were excellent company and very attentive to guests' needs. The hotel had an excellent menu with accompanying wines, beers, spirits, if required. The hotel also had an extensive range of locally-produced spirits. The accommodation was excellent and well-equipped. The only down-side was the lack of TV reception - although being without TV was somewhat of a blessing!

Very easy to find as it was near to the Castle of Mey and the ferry. Extremely friendly welcome. We even had help with our luggage which we weren't expecting.. Lovely large double room with TV and tea, coffee, & hot chocolate making facilities. and ensuite shower, & WC. It was great to have our own space and not at all like an old fashioned B&B. We were asked what time we'd like a table for breakfast and then left to our own devices. There was even a table in the hall with maps, information and caramel bars to buy.

Mey is a lovely spot. We used it for the Pentland car ferry to Orkney. Easy to find, plenty of parking, house is a tardis! We had a front room, large with a generous sized wet room, the view from our room was over fields and we had a perfect sunset. Graham has put as many useful items in room as possible and more for cleaning bikes, cars - whatever. Breakfast was nicely cooked and generous. Super friendly host.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The Mey Hotel has a very nice tearoom and restaurant on site which was very nice and the food was good. The location worked for me, although it is a bit of a drive from Thurso town center, but close to other sites that were more important to me!!! The layout of the hotel is charming and the outdoor space I am sure is lovely when weather is permitting.

Absolute gem of a B & B. Amazing warm welcome, so informative and nothing was too much trouble. Made you feel so at home and were very helpful in getting us a dinner booking at late notice at the hotel up the road. Added bonus we could walk to it! Lots of added extras for you, it just felt like everything was thought of with their guests in mind.
