I've never written a review but this is the exception. Everything was perfect, the kindness of Karl and Carla, the magnificent room with a view of Loch Ness, the well-prepared dinner by a great chef Karl and the super breakfast. If you love Nessie or not! Don't hesitate... We are not yet at the end of our holiday but I think that you will remain the best establishment of our holiday. Thank you for everything. Reception and checking-in were fine. We booked a cottage which was just a 1 min drive away. First impressions were good as it's clean and quiet as it's separate from the main hotel. The only gripe was that we asked for a walk-in shower as one of my party had mobility issues. That was sorted but I didn't realise that the main bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs which defeated the point of having a walk-in shower. The stairs were carpeted etc but a tad on the steep side. It caused us an issue but as it was only 1 night, it wasn't a disaster just a pain. On the positive side, it's a gorgeous cottage. We had dinner the hotel which was very nice albeit expensive for Inverness (roughly 100 a head) Would I stay again? yes but maybe the cottage next door if it has no stairs.
