A nice combination of an old building with a contemporary feel. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful-although the restaurant stops serving surprisingly early; we were only just admitted for our booking at 8:30 on a Friday evening. The food was really excellent - way better than we were expecting, and not over-priced.

Superb accommodation, comfortable room with everything you could want. Spacious bathroom and great shower. Breakfast was delicious. Our host, Moira, was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend
We live in Kent and have family in Scotland we regularly visit and this was our first time at this hotel. Really good value for money and lovely food. Breakfast was excellent! Some parts of the hotel were in need of a fresh lick of paint but considering it’s an old building it was very well kept. Our room was very clean however the carpet on the stairways were in need of a Hoover but there was some work going on in one of the rooms which may have been why.
Overall we would most definitely book this hotel again.
Staff were excellent and very helpful. Both attentive and understanding. Nothing was too much. Could not fault the service. All food, the breakfasts and the dinner we had were cooked to perfection. The dinner was very good value. That the hotel serves lunches to seniors was obviously a very welcome gesture to locals. The bar was filled on both days of our stay. The room we stayed in was large and had a tv over the bath. Dog friendly in an area of Scotland with numerous walks right from the door.
A hidden 5 star gem, such a great hotel Such a warm welcome by Paul and his team. The room was spotless and such comfy beds and pillows guaranteed a great nights sleep. The food was just simply outstanding. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in through the UK.
We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the meals were generous and well cooked, the rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again, if possible.
The hotel is located within lovely garden grounds. Our evening meal was very good and excellent value for money. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was also lovely and the staff couldn't be nicer.
