Location very good, very clean and all the space we needed. The bed a little cramped but we knew that beforehand from previous reviews. It was still comfy. We liked the fact the owner left us to our own devices and didn’t feel the need to welcome us and chat. We were tired after a long day cycling.

It was a peaceful location on the countryside, with animals to admire. The pod was very clean with comfortable beds. I especially liked the fact it was possible to cook. The pod had bathroom ensuite.

The view onto the loch is just stunning and very inviting, though if you are planning on swimming I'd take river shoes to avoid the debris and sharp stones. The pod was very clean, warm and comfortable with good facilities. If I return to the area, I'd definitely stay again.

While there aren't days worth of activities to do within Lairg itself, it offers lovely views and lovely food for those staying there or those passing through. The Loch is great for photo opportunities and there is a forrest walk there also. It is great as a base to adventure out from for a scenic drive to the west coast where there are sandy beaches, or to the East coast where there are lovely towns and castles to visit. The locals are also very friendly.

This was a charming little town, a little off the beaten path but worthwhile.
The stay felt safe, other guest friendly and staff desired to please.
This location was easy to find, easy to park.
My wife felt it could use more toilet paper.
I never figured out how to work the soap dispenser.
The breakfast and dinner were A OK.
I would stay again.

Lairg was just what we wanted, a small quiet village, very clean and tidy, little shops that stocked everything, fish and chip shop was superb, Pier Inn had delicious food, lots of lovely walks, and community centre was full of information, very helpful staff, overall stay was great, and the River Shin, was lovely as was the Loch, if you want away from the rat race, Lairg is the place to go.

. Rather let down by local amenities that were not yet up to speed after lockdown. We were unable to book a table for dinner. Fortunately, the village shop has enough supplies for us to pull together a decent meal. The apartment kitchen was more than sufficient to prepare our meal.

Lairg is a very small village with limited but ample shops for supplies, we knew this in advance and this suited us as we were looking for a nice peaceful break. There is a Chippy that we used once after a long day out and the fish & chips were great 👍

Sutherland is one of the most magical places in the world...
Sutherland is one of the most magical places in the world but be prepared to get fuel when you can and stock up with food when you get a chance. Even when marked as open some of the shops and fuel stations are not currently open.
The apartment exceeded my expectations - comfortably furnished, tastefully (concede that that's a subjective realm!) decorated and well- equipped, making for a relaxing stay. Very handy for the little supermarket a few metres along the road. Lairg, 'the crossroads of the North', is a good base for the quiet expanses of eastern Sutherland and (if you have a car!) the extraordinary mountain landscapes to the west.
Communication from Jackie was in good time and was helpfully clear.
super nice and cam location close to Lairg. It is super calm and relaxing there. Hosts are superb and absolutely friendly. we were in love with all the animals and the things they offer (e.g. own eggs for sale, fire wood and bbq).the host showed us all the animals which was super exciting. Pods themselves were very clean and comfortable though a bit Vize for four adults. perfect stay and absolutely recommended
Colaboll Farmhouse is ideally located to explore Sutherland. The house is well equipped and enjoys the benefit of a boot room where you can quickly dry wet coats and boots. There is a log burner in the lounge for the cooler evenings and two areas to dine.
There are good shops near by to get groceries and highly recommend a visit to The Pier cafe in Lairg,
Friendly welcoming hosts, very comfy bed, and well-appointed apartment with everything you need. It was perfect for a long weekend away and had plenty space - much better than a hotel room. it was immaculately clean and a great location for exploring Caithness and Sutherland.
Lovely location and accomodation, owners both friendly and helpful, everything you need in the apartment even Baer essentials in kitchen cupboard if required.shop , takeaway and petrol station which was even cheaper than Inverness petrol station all at hand.dog friendly too.
Lovely and extremely helpful hosts. The accommodation was really lovely, with a gorgeous garden at the back to sit in. The hosts left cake and whisky, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I will definitely be back.
The location is perfect. It is an easy walk to Lairg if you are reasonably fit. Great base to to tour the area. Jan was a good source for easy walks from the property. Lovely cottage with everything you need.
Excellent location for exploring Sutherland. Close to Spar late-night grocery store and to Lairg Highland Hotel for excellent food. Comfortable accommodation to relax in at end the end of a long day.
The breakfast was fine more than enough.
The hotel was in the centre of Lairg and easy to find.
Very useful as in a central location and able to use it as a base for touring the area.
Very helpful and friendly hosts.
Excellent breakfast containing many homemade elements.
Large room with lovely views from the balcony.
Excellent evening meals in local Kylesku hotel
great location but what really made it was the hostess. she couldn’t have done enough. it was busy, they were short staff as is all hotels at the moment, but she was a superstar!
Very authentic place in the middle of nowhere... but on a very recommendable route around Scotland. Very quiet, yet everything you need is available. Would come back any time.
Beautifully decorated and well equipped in most respects. Good central location in Lairg very near Loch Shin. The owner/manager was very helpful when something went wrong.
The breakfast was top notch, poached haddock and eggs. The first impression was what you look for in a country hotel with a warm fire welcome, perfect. Worth retuning to.
Beautiful pod in Lairg! This location was perfect for exploring the northern highlands. The host is extremely nice and helpful! I would definitely this stay.
