Very comfortable cosy place to stay. Nicely decorated and appointed with good facilities for a relatively limited space. Great hot shower, which is very welcome after a day's exertions. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
This small and friendly guest house is situated in an imposing 16th century stone-built building, ideally located in the heart of the Teme Valley in Wales on the English border.

A fabulous location and really lovely friendly staff. We stayed across the road in a one bedroom apartment- it was clean and provided everything needed.
The breakfast was basic but adequate to start the day.

Lauren's Hair Lounge is fantastic for hair up for a wedding, lovely girl and reasonable price. We were only staying for a wedding I don't think we would have reason to return it's a very remote little town. Everyone we spoke to was pleasant and helpful. Very difficult to get around with limited and expensive taxi options. Didn't see any buses but maybe there is. Beautiful part of Wales.

Really nice town to stay in.
Really nice town to stay in. Lots of places to eat and drink. Good selection of shops as well. Coming from London I was pleasantly surprised how reasonably priced food and drink was, and the choice and quality was very good. Knighton is a great base for walks along Offers Dyke and visiting local sites. I would certainly stay there again.

Well known for the Offa's Dyke Centre and the start of the famous Offa's Dyke walk but other than that the town, although elegantly Victorian in build, does not have much else going for it, to my knowledge. I did find a lovely place to eat in Knucklas, nearby, "The Castle Inn" which offers an assortment of pies but most notably authentic Thai dishes as the chef is Thai. The night I went there was a 'pub quiz night' and wonderful waitress service which elevated the esperience altogether.

Good evening meal at the Horse and Jockey pub - reasonable price, good choice and friendly staff.
Had a good bacon butty and cuppa in J D's Cafe.
Nice snack lunch in the cafe at the Prince and Pugh store. Great shop too - has all sorts, including gifts and cards!
Lovely church to visit - surprisingly large with beautiful stained glass windows, painted organ and embroidered kneeling cushions. Well worth a visit.
Peaceful walk down by the river with direct access to the Offa's Dyke Way. Great area for walkers.
Historic heart, decent range of shops for a small town and choice of cafes, plus restaurants. A great Co-Op shop that opens up inside like the Dr Who tardis! 😄
Good base too for exploring the local area.

A lovely little town where we could quite happily have stayed for much longer.
There were some lovely shops and a couple of art galleries in the town. if you are looking for gifts or cookware we would suggest you check out Prince & Pugh - this lovely shop even allowed our dogs in to say hello.
Rhi at Tower House Gallery was exceptionally warm and friendly even remembering us on our second visit. We highly recommend this shop if you are looking for greeting cards, local art works or books but also for their delicious cakes.
We would highly recommend the Horse & Jockey for food - it was reasonably priced and the food was incredible. The service here was also fantastic especially Georgia who was looking after the bar where we sat.
Knighton is on a hill...quite a steep one at that so please be warned that it might not be ideal for people with mobility issues!

Regarding the hotel was not happy at having to clean room and make beds after first night stay For the price i paid i expected a better service
Knighton was a pleasant town and there were plenty of places to eat nearby.
Would recommend a visit to the space guard centre just outside town
Eye opening and very informative
The lady who manages the property is very hardworking, friendly and efficient The bar in the pub is popular and mainly for locals but the bar in the restaurant was very good and the menu was interesting (sizzling chicken and steak on hot cast iron skillets!).All the staff were helpful .The Hotel does not have parking space but we found one a hundred yards away on a free space .The rooms were stylish with old pine beams.Maybe the best place to stay in Knighton
A wonderful pub with rooms next door in the charming town of Knighton. The restaurant is run as 100% gluten-free and no wheat based products are allowed on site so the risk of contamination is minimised. The gluten free bread was homemade and delicious. The breakfasts were fantastic. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Great location for walking and visiting either Shropshire, Herefordshire or Wales!
Lovely original Farmhouse on the Welsh/English border surrounded by stunning scenery and just 5 minutes drive from Knighton and all it's amenities. Easy to get to, a great spot for exploring the valley. Wonderful views.
Very welcoming owner, cosy wood fire, modern kitchen, comfy beds, so lovely to be close to the animals too.
My daughter loved it there - first time on a horse too 😊
This is in a great location. Host was very kind as mentioned in other reviews for bringing a cake over and talking a bit. Furniture and kitchen are definitely older, with older accessories. Upstairs bathroom and sunroom are newer but again well used. Has a very homey feel. They make very clear they are a "green" property with lots of signs of what to and not to do.
Very comfortable and clean room. Lovely gardens and very central to all that Knighton has to offer. Many interesting places are easily accessible. Ideal if you are attending a wedding at Wild Lodge. It was nice to have the lounge to relax in and the kitchenette if we wanted to do a little bit of self catering. Everything you needed was provided for breakfast.
Lovely property , accommodation in an annexe at the rear of the pub, beautifully clean, quiet and private. This was a little way out of Knighton, but well worth it, bus and train easy and cheap. One of the best part is however the authentic Thai food cooked fresh by our hostess, she opened the kitchen specially for us on both nights of our stay.
Beautiful building great staff and brilliant value for money. I spend a lot of my time staying in hotels all over the world and the UK hotels are a disgrace compared to the rest of Europe and the world but there is hope the Knighton hotel is head and shoulders above anything in this country. I would recommend this lovely place without any doubt
Quirky b&b rooms above an Ale House. Only 2rooms. If you’re happy to share bathroom and toilet facilities this place is great value and a bit different. Tom our host was very welcoming and chatty. Great location for seeing round the Knighton area.
Very clean and modern, new looking and spacious. Great layout and comfortable furniture etc. Great location, only a short walk into Knighton town. The hosts were responsive and we got the key lock code in plenty of time. Would definitely recommend
Splendid large breakfast of exceptional quality. Very friendly and efficient people. Comfortable and quiet room with plenty of space, spacious large shower. Everything spotless. Right in the middle of Knighton so convenient for the station.
We wanted to stay in the middle of Wales near a train line. Knighton was a perfect spot for walking along Offa’s dyke. We had a great meal at the Jockey & Horse and the hotel had a great bathroom, nice big towels and comfy bed.
The landlady Ming and chef was amazingly accommodating for us. Rooms were perfect and clean, pub restaurant was a little gem, Thai food was top quality. We will be back again, prefect place for our stay. Thanks
A really quirky idea. It suited me well for one night, as a stop over during hiking the Offa’s Dyke path. It was better value than a hotel, private and very cosy. Helen was a lovely host and very helpful.
