A nice combination of an old building with a contemporary feel. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful-although the restaurant stops serving surprisingly early; we were only just admitted for our booking at 8:30 on a Friday evening. The food was really excellent - way better than we were expecting, and not over-priced.

Great location. Lovely building with character. So much nicer than staying in a soulless modern hotel. The breakfast was perfect - not too much and mostly home made which is unusual these days. The woman who ran the breakfast was charming and very friendly.
