The setting of the property is wonderful and the views are lovely. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the entrance hall and the traditional aspects of the original building which seamlessly became more modern and fresher. The spa is beautiful - so calm and relaxing. The staff were exceptional with a balance of friendly and efficient.

It was nice to spend time in a village again, and just do whatever we wanted without rushing anywhere. The driving was easy and the area was beautiful, we were particularly interested in the farming.
We ate in our hotel each evening.

The trip was arranged to meet our son, who lives in Derbyshire, during his walk along Cuthbert's way. We had never been in that part of Scotland previously and intend to return and spend more time in the area.
greeted by the friendly owners and got our choices and times of Breakfast sorted so we could make sure any covid distancing was happily agreed. the location is ideal in Kirk Yetholm. we were given a free upgrade as our booked room was requested by a guest staying over several nights and our riverside view room was perfect. Mill house is well appointed and spotless, perfect for walking the Pennine way and we intend to return when walking St Cuthbert's way later in year.
Love the scenery, and quirkiness of the hotel. Room was so peaceful and exceptionally warm (so much so, that I was praying the heating wouldn't come on during the night). Room was clean. Bedding was spotless. Food was lovely although they didn't have our 1st or 2nd choice from the menu (not a problem as quiet season so maybe not fully stocked up and we eat anything!!). Scottish breakfast was very good.
Its a very nice old hotel in a picturesque village. The room was large and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and very accomodating with any requests you have. The breakfast was excellent and lovely selection available. The hotel was able to store my rucksack and forward to my next location as I was participating in a 4 day hike across the Cheviot Hills, this was really helpful.
Good choices for breakfast, nice dining rooms, yummy Cullen Skink and cosy bar. Great location for us visiting Holy Island on the way to the Highlands and a pretty drive to get to the hotel. The room and bathroom were stylish, comfortable and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy parking.
The hotel was charming and exquisite, the old fashioned building is just so gorgeous. The staff were friendly and helpful and they provide a delicious breakfast. The rooms were excellent and immaculately clean. Great location too, absolutely stunning serene countryside scenery.

Location was excellent, Claire (proprietor) very friendly and helpful. Hearty breakfast with homemade preserves. Close to Border Hotel serving tasty meals at a fair price. Room and shower were spacious, and the bed linen/coverings top quality.
Kirk Yetholm and the end of the Pennine Way. This is a great way to end the day. Warm and welcoming hosts and superb accomodation. Amazing rooms and lounge and breakfast room. Home cooked locally sourced breakfast was superb.
It was a struggle to find a room in holiday season. The owner was great about fitting us in. It is a genuine country hotel, in a charming village. Food was good, people were friendly and good value for money.
The room was clean and spacious. It had good views and the hotel was in an excellent location. Good to see refillable soaps being used in the bathroom. Staff were very pleasant in their manner.
Conveniently situated hotel on St Cuthbert’s Way path. Still open even at the end of November. The bar area had a real fire and good food. Staff were friendly.
