What a brilliant host.
We were attending a wedding locally and wouldn't have been able to check in until after midnight.
Spoke with them beforehand and they allowed us to check in before we attended the wedding.
Nice comfortable rooms, massive value for money.
Would highly recommend.

breakfast, plenty of choice and hot, reasonably priced
Best pub to eat and relax is The Crown, opposite the Church.
Best pub to eat and relax is The Crown, opposite the Church. Their are some lovely country walks. The George and Born has a more lively feel in the evening and food is more down to earth, and accommodation is clean and sufficient, but small rooms. Met our needs!

The only reason we were in the area was to visit our son and grandson. Notmally we would have stayed with them but they are the process of moving so it was not possible to stay with them..

We stayed at Bel and the Dragon and would happily stay again. The staff were friendly and efficient. The place was spotlessly clean and the food exceeded our expectations.
The bedroom was very comfortably furnished and the bed was just right, plenty of comfortable pillows and high quality bedding. The bathroom has lovely products, I particularly liked the fact that single use products were not used, much more green to have refillable containers. We stayed one night to be close the Bombay Sapphire distillery, and would definitely stay again,

Kingsclere is a small village with two pubs a beautiful church and adequate services in terms of shops - a butcher, chemist and two grocery shops. It was less what Kingsclere had to offer but its location within an area with plenty of places to visit and with much to do. It was nice to be away from the pace of life these days but close enough to reconnect simply and quickly whenever you wanted to.
Perfect location for our trip to a Jubilee event in Kingsclere. The staff were welcoming and the room, although quite small had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was the included breakfast. Parking was free onsite, limited availability, but plenty of on street options outside the hotel. Nice touch having complimentary Sloe gin in the room making a perfect night cap.
We have stayed at the Bel & Dragon, Kingsclere a few times. It has so much character that greets you the moment you walk in. Rooms are comfortable, tasteful, and well equipped. Breakfast is delicious and local produce used.
Staff are warm, cheerful, and friendly
It was nice to see there has been a large improvement in quality of food, loved my meal; the hotel should though listen to previous feedback, specifically regards providing lighting between the hotel & restaurant (some 150 yards away).
Lovely location with golf course views from the bedroom. Cleanliness of the hotel was first class and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately, we were only staying for one night but would stay again and thoroughly recommend it.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The decor of the hotel and our bedroom was very pleasing. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very clean. The room was also dark at night and quiet.Breakfast was good.
