The staff gave a warm welcome, the interior design was very high-end and the place is just full of quality. I had a great night's sleep, the quality of both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Prices at the bar were very reasonable. Top class stay.

Lovely view and quiet.
It was dog friendly room and we struggled with smallness of it.

The breakfast was incredible. Whisky porridge is not to be missed. Also avocado, poached eggs and herbs and salad straight from the garden...perfect!
Comfortable bed, clean and cosy.

Killin is a lovely riverside village with the famed Falls of Dochart, a regular feature on calendars. It is rural but gives easy road access to many areas of Scotland from Oban, Fort William, Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perthshire not to mention the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park

Has everything you need in a lovely small town. Nice coffee shop, pub and a little gift shop by the Falls, which were impressive. As well as practical little supermarket and a nice playground for the kids.

Beautiful scenery, quiet location.
Beautiful scenery, quiet location. The falls of Dochart are stunning. Well worth a visit to see them. There is also a golf course in Killin with stunning views of the surrounding area. Tucked away in the woods of Killin across from the cemetery you will find the ruins of Finlarig Castle which dates back to 11th century, also well worth a visit.

We stay here often, as its dog friendly and have always found it a nice place to stay, with friendly staff. Any problems, you only need to ask. Meals are good and fairly priced, as are the prices at the bar. Looking forward to our next stay.

It is situated in an area where it is within travelling distance to Loch Lomond. Oban, Glen Coe and Fort William al places we like to visit.
We ate dinner at The Luib Hotel on our arrival and it was excellent. We visited several other hotels and cafes and they were all good establishments. The staff at The Luid are always ready to answer any questions we had regarding places to visit. They are very helpful and the atmosphere they create in the lounge is unbeatable.

If your only issue is wi- fi then you don't have much of an issue. This Hotel caters for most clientele. The staff may I say are excellent. So many spaces to chill out both in the Hotel and surrounding area. Just a wonderful place to stay.
Perfect location in town. Lovely building with bags of atmosphere. Open fire in the restaurant and an unexpectedly good menu. Previous trips to Scotland have been disappointing with regard to food. Very impressed with the food here. We had Tempura Cauliflower and Haggis balls to start. All delicious and Venison casserole for our main course. The sticky toffee pudding was the best we have ever eaten. Served with a good quality ice cream.
The coffee shop attached to the hotel was also good.
It was ok, nothing special, and maybe a little bit boarding house 1970s in feel. The hotel really doesn't have a great deal of competition. Hospitality in Scotland is very real from a people perspective but lags behind the rest of GB and Ireland in terms of room facilities. and meeting guest expectations. Breakfast was ok, evening meal was ok...in fact everything was ok but nothing was memorable... and maybe that's ok for people like us who were stopping overnight on our way up north.
We had a lovely stay at Capercaillie! It is located at the edge of Killin in a nice and quiet area (only a 25-min walk to the Falls of Dochart). The house has a lot bigger than we expected and spotless. The lounge was comfy and very modern, and the kitchen was really well-kitted out with everything you could need. The master bedroom had a huge en-suite and it all worked perfectly! Maybe a little expensive, but a lovely place to stay.
This hotel was perfect for our overnight stay - friendly staff, clean rooms, a well stocked bar and good food. We loved the hotel's remote location with its gorgeous views. There was something for everyone on the evening menu and a great Scottish breakfast next morning. Plenty of parking and great value for money with B&B at less than £100 a night.
Great breakfast and location. Bed in room one fell through when I sat on it first thing. We were able to fix it but was a shock. Bracket bent underneath. Huuuuuuuge spider in our room but a brave woman from the staff came and fearlessly caught him and kindly put him outside. Bathtub in room 1 was great. Staff was so nice.
The house is gorgeous - both a beautiful property and also very well furnished. Killin is an absolutely beautiful wee town, well situated for walks but also near enough to bigger towns and cities if needed. I can imagine the garden area is beautiful in the summer, but as it was we appreciated the warm fire and cosy rooms.
The Courie was my favorite hotel, favorite breakfast and favorite pub for my whole trip to the highlands. Excellent in every category! The proprietors embody the absolute best in hospitality, and I don’t think you’ll find a better experience anywhere.
The location in Killin was ideal and the property was pristine.
The 4 poster bed was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent.
Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the hosts Monica and Roman
went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
This is a grand old Hotel overlooking a lake. Has a good pub and restaurant. Unfortunately our room was booked into the “annex” which was probably at one time stone storage units or garages that were renovated, but not to the highest standards.
Breakfast was delicious and you got to chose from a menu. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable. We had our evening meals in the hotel bar and every meal we had was amazing. The staff were very friendly and happy to help at any time.
We stayed in room 1 and it was beautifully designed with a gorgeous bathroom (open the window for a bath with a view!). The bar was attractive and friendly. The breakfast was also excellent, especially the vegetarian options.
Loved the house very clean and comfortable, everything that wee need, and pet friendly loved the location and friendly people. Scenery fantastic lots of walks around Killin. We will go back loved it very relaxed stay.
Returned for our second stay here as it’s the perfect place to start our holidays in the Highlands. Another relaxing stay in this charming hotel, with a fantastic breakfast included. Thank you to the lovely hosts.
A very comfortable holiday house. Very clean and well looked after. Great locality for all sorts of outdoor activities, even for easy walks and gardens.
