Second stay and it was as good as the first. The room was all I needed: clean and comfortable. The bar has a good array of drinks and the food looked good, although I did not eat there.

The Paddocks Hotel, hotel in Kerne Bridge

Situated in Symonds Yat, 40 km from Kingsholm Stadium, The Paddocks Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Great location. The hotel is a little tired in the rooms. The reception isn’t the most inviting when you walk down the path but inside is in keeping with the age of the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the bar and garden area are fantastic. Especially if the weather is nice. The room I stayed in was large enough and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was a little dated and took about 10 minutes for the water to get hot. There was a sign advising it could take a few minutes, so it wasn’t a surprise. Breakfast was nice and straight forward. The waitress was very helpful and friendly.
