It is a part of Scotland that I had never visited before.
It is a part of Scotland that I had never visited before. The scenery is very beautiful and varied. St Ninian was so important to these isles. Whithorn is well worth a visit. Go to see the museum that has so many examples of the Celtic crosses. The Steamboat serves excellent food and locally brewed beersCarlUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Lovely scenic working harbour at the heart of the Isle.
Lovely scenic working harbour at the heart of the Isle. Fabulous clifftop walks around either side of the village with lots of wild flowers and wildlife to see. An excellent community cafe with delicious food and shop. The Steam Packet Inn for dining and having a drink is particularly good with lots of fresh fish options and locally brewed craft ale on tap.
