Breakfast was a very well presented continental breakfast. Best fresh fruit salad i have ever had.....well selected ripe and no need for sugar. The central location of hotel in the NE is good for work and touring, with many diverse attractions nearby. Friendly and considerate staff. Bedroom very spacious clean and comfortable
In 350 acres of mature woodland and peaceful rolling parkland, this beautiful country house hotel has its very own private golf course, free Wi-Fi and charming, elegant, individually decorated rooms.

A beautiful hotel set in lovely surroundings. Loved the history & grandeur of the place.

Inverurie high street is a traditional high street, lots of independent shops, lots of variety, big enough to spend an afternoon walking round all the shops. Browsed in sinclairs jewellery shop, bought from craigdon mountain sports- very friendly informative and nothing too much trouble for these folk ! Recommended for hiking gear and hubby presents !
We also walked up a splendid wee hill with amazing views called tap o north, a jaunt of about half and hour away by car, well worth the effort.
For eats, we chose the ashvale, and the food didn’t disappoint.

My sister lives nearby and I have been coming here for over 30 years. Its a lovely place and inb recent time it has expanded a lot. It not the place to come for fancy night life. You would come here for great scenery and a base to travel to local places of interest.
It has a Morrisons and a few other big ticket stores as well.

Good centre for visiting that area - stately homes, castles, scenery, coast, archaeology, history, cycling, walking, golf etc.
Reasonable restaurants, and pubs but poorly served by accommodation which is limited.
Not much to see in the town itself.

Arrived by train from Aberdeen and by using the very reliable taxi service was able to reach all destinations easily. Inverurie is also a walkable small town well served with supermarkets etc. While the main purpose of my visit was family-related, I took the opportunity to hike in Bannachie and was glad I made the effort.

Its difficult to say as I was not there on holiday.
Its difficult to say as I was not there on holiday. I was there for health reasons ( treatment). We did not spend much time in the locality as we were using the lodge as a base to get to and from treatment base.
We did eat both nights in the lodge and the evening food was good.
A nice old hotel very conveniently situated for Inverurie town centre. There's plenty of free on-site parking, my single room at the front of the hotel was nicely furnished and the bed very comfortable. Good breakfast in the morning, the evening meal I took wasn't quite as good. There's a very comfortable bar and lounge area and prices are reasonable. For the price charged I was pleased with my stay.
Finally, the staff were very friendly and obliging.
I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Chris was very pleasant and very helpful nothing was any problem for him.continenal breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and Chris made sure nothing ran out . The rooms were more than adequate for my one night stay . The hotel in general was very tidy and spotlessly clean. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would certainly recommend
The sound proofing was fantastic especially being above a pub
It was cosy and bang in the middle of Inverurie town centre, so close to everything we needed. We were here for a wedding and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The roomed heated up quickly and the biscuits a welcome treat after coming in drunk from the wedding!
Staying in the Bothie was a great opportunity. We experienced living and walking in woodlands, relaxing around a fireplace, peaceful surroundings and even a complimentary bottle of bubbly. From the Bothie, we were able to do several day trips to surrounding areas such as Inverurie, Balmoral and Braemar.
I love old properties that have been repurposed as hotels. The sense of history is all around. I loved the old Aberdeen photos along the walls, particularly in the leisure pool where there were photos of women playing football and golf in the 1920’s. Little things like that make a big impact.
For a couple 70+ year olds my wife and I needed the central location.
Plus being able to also accommodate our Daughter who had come in from San Francisco to spend Family time with Family and Friends in Inverurie was exceptional...
If available for our next visit...We'll Be Back..

Third stay in this gorgeous place. Home from home whilst visiting family in Inverurie.
Cosy with everything we needed.
New venue to eat in İnverurie is Siesta by Valeria it’s a tapas place but the
food is so good and the owners are really lovely.
Nice Hotel, great and very friendly staff, wonderful food at the restaurant, very good breakfast with lots of different choice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the bathroom also very clean but a little outdated. We slept great!
Property was spacious. Front door is off a pretty patio and opens to downstairs full bathroom. living/dining room and kitchen. Upstairs were two bedrooms and a tiny en suite bathroom with shower. All was very modern and tastefully done.
The great people who staff this Hotel are really First Class. They made our stay even better. the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we've had in years....in fact since the last time we stayed there.
Sarah and her husband run a wonderful Inn at the Barra Castle. They have a lovely restaurant next door to your beautiful cottage. Friendly staff and cute decor, I would absolutely recommend this spot while in Abderdeenshire area.
Everything was exceptional. The staff was awesome and made us feel like we were at home. We met the owners and they were great. We had a great time at a great price. I would def go here again if ever in the area
Hotel staff where very friendly and welcoming. Locals where very welcoming also. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great value for money. Best shower i've used in a long time
The bed was super comfy. The hotel was quiet, but that probably had more to do with the ongoing storm. The woman who checked me in waited late for me to arrive which was lovely.
Wifi good, enabling work to be done. Excellent shower. Breakfast very good quality. Staff very efficient and friendly. Hotel social spaces very comfortable.
