The breakfast was good, bit not exactly my type of breakfast. The staff was very good helpful and polite . Good value for money The whole thing .
Featuring a garden, Gatwick Inn Hotel - For A Peaceful Overnight Stay is set in Horley in the Surrey region, 19 km from Box Hill and 23 km from Nonsuch Park.
The narrow lane access was full of deep potholes. There were no signs stating that there was convenient access to rooms from the car park level with suggestions possibly to register first up the flight of stairs (internally there are three flights of steep stairs down to the rooms. Signage would have been helpful).
There is nothing near the hotel but water and woods so a car trip down the narrow lane is necessary even for a newspaper.
The boutique hotel room was modern and clean with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately there were essential items missing, such as no waste bin in the bedroom, no shelf for toiletries/toothbrush in the bathroom and no grab rail for elderly occupants; in fact the situation was not good for anyone with vertigo or mobility issues.
We received family guests for dinner, one meal was unfortunately overcooked so much so that the basic fish and chips meal was refunded. This reflected badly on us as hosts and will not recommend it to others for such a visit.
From arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our room. Complimentary porridge oats, coffees and bottled water made for a welcomed surprise. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. There is a fabulous restaurant built into the hotel called The Gurkha, the food was amazing.... We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, infact we are going to book again for next year even though the event that we attended is in its own luxurious hotel.... We just felt so well looked after at The Felbridge
Our Gatwick flight had been cancelled and the Wire Mill was reasonably close (20 minutes drive) from the airport, handy for an early morning next-day flight and it had last minute availability. We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is in a lovely position right by a large lake. We had a decent dinner in the restaurant. The room was comfortable and clean. We were up again at 4am, too early for breakfast.
The Woodcock is located close to Cophall airport parking where we needed to park our car at 3-30 am on the Wednesday to leave for an EasyJet flight at 6-20am to Germany.
Rather than travel to Gatwick / Cophall airport long term parking, on the day of departure we opted to stay overnight, and have a more relaxed start to our holiday.
i was simply blown away with the location and the views of this absolutely lovely pub/hotel.
all staff were super friendly. even when it was extremely busy. delicious menu for both dinner and breakfast and I’ve already booked a return visit.
very friendly welcome when arriving, Indian restaurant downstairs was fab and really tasty! good size room, snacks and coffees in room. we needed a quick room before a gatwick flight and we were more than happy! very good value for money!
It's a lovely, quiet place. The room was warm and cosy. Great value for money. Full English breakfast included there is a great selection of breakfasts. The staff are all so polite and friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
The room has a rustic and warming atmosphere, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were so accommodating and lovely throughout our time in the hotel and restaurant area. The food was delicious! would recommend!
Perfect for a night close to Gatwick. Simple rooms, nice touch of the porridge pots and cereal bars. They were very accommodating with the dinner, delicious Nepali food. Lovely owners and friendly staff.
Excellent food at this restaurant. We overnighted for our flight from Gatwick and it was ideal.Rooms a bit dated and small but not too bad .Would definitely use this amazing restaurant again .
Great for access to Gatwick Airport. 15 minute drive in the morning. Great food in the Nepalese restaurant which is part of the hotel. Best lamb curry I have ever had.
The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. We arrived too late for dinner, and when we saw the menu we wished we'd travelled earlier and eaten there.
