We were only in York for one night to spend 2 days sightseeing. This hotel location - right next to the train station —was perfect. We walked across the street from the station, checked in, dropped our luggage and headed to town on foot. Never needed a taxi. The room is small and plain but the public areas are generous and elegant. We had a lovely view of York Minster from our window.
Situated on the banks of the River Ouse, The Queens Hotel is ideally located for the many shops, restaurants and bars that the centre of York has to offer.

Location of hotel excellent. Breakast , great selection and plenty of room to sit, book timeslot for breakfast at reception on arrival
Ideally situated, family-run Wheatland Lodge Hotel offers good value accommodation, just a 5-minute walk from York Train Station and a 10-minute walk from York's historic centre.

Overlooking the spectacular York Minster, this elegant Georgian residence is set in the heart of the historic city centre, just a short stroll away from medieval streets lined with modern boutiques

Everything about this hotel was special. The front was appealing, there were many people taking pictures on the street outside. The hotel is super close to the shambles, the minster cathedral and only a short walk from everything else you'd want to see while visiting York. Inside the decor was lovely, we were seen straight away by reception and give the key to our room. We were visiting for our 10 year
Anniversary and when we went in to our room there was a plate of fudge with happy Anniversary written in chocolate. Breakfast was amazing, great choices and cooked beautifully. I'd definitely recommend the blue lagoon cocktail from the bar!

Great location for a stay within striking distance to York & outlet shopping centre. Bus runs every 15mins direct through village to both locations, literally takes no more than 20min. Good pub in grounds of Parsonage hotel & a Thai restaurant that also does takeout, excellent food at both.

We have stayed at the parsonage 4 times and wouldn’t go back if it was rubbish.
The spa is lovely. Swimming pool, big jacuzzi , several steam rooms. The treatments were fairly priced.
The fat fryer has a great menu and again good prices.
The area (Escrick) is out of the way and unless you have a car you could be marooned. I didn’t see any busses but I understand it is on a route.
I’m looking forward to going again soon.

We liked the lovely garden surroundings which were immaculate, the lounge and conservatory where we could relax and the swimming pool and jacuzzi which was excellent.
A good bus service into York was very helpful.
The staff struggled slightly with service at breakfast time when the hotel became very busy.

The establishment was not as good as advertised.
The establishment was not as good as advertised. Definitely wouldn’t recommend or class as 4 star.
Checkin experience was rubbish as did not have the room ready for check in time given on website.
Spa outdated needs a refurbishment and the loungers really close to the floor (no legs on them) making it difficult getting back up from them.
Room was too hot and had to have fan on and windows open all night.
The milk was off in the room and no bin in the main room only in the bathroom.
The only good thing I can say was that the Abbott pub which was on site was very nice with great staff and lovely food and plenty of parking.
We won’t be going to this hotel and spa again as very disappointing

nothing there as far as i could tell, yorkshire water doing work right outside the hotel , did not really bother us until they switched the water off for a whole day, that is not the hotels fault but there again they should complain to the water company as it happens quite often according to staff. on the whole disappointed with visit.

Slightly disappointing as it looked amazing venue.
Slightly disappointing as it looked amazing venue. It could be spectacular but the receptionist struggled to smile and took ages to do things, breakfast tepid, carpets a bit grubby and had 1980s feel to it
This is a great hotel on the main bus route into the city of York. It has an added bonus of having a spa and a gym, of which I used both. The spa was open till 9 pm too which was great after a long day walking around the city. The Fat Abbot restaurant which is in the grounds of the hotel seems to be a hit for its food. My chicken and leek pie was particularly tasty.
Lovely listed building, nice rooms and fantastic staff & bed was very comfy 👍🏼. The hotel facilities are very good and it was easy to go into York using the bus service. Lovely gardens all round and great pub dining at the Fat Abbott. The spa staff and very pleasant and helpful with great Spa facilities.
Such a beautiful location and hotel. Clean, friendly with lovely Spa facility. Our food was always very good. The staff at breakfast were exceptional, food was always fresh and plates cleared quickly The Parsonage was highlight of our 2 weeks traveling holiday.
Spa facilities excellent, especially steam rooms and sauna. Well equipped gym. Really good staff, in both Hotel and Spa, and special mention for Elaine, who was so welcoming on our arrival and on breakfast duty during stay.
The hotel managed to put us up on the morning of our stay after our previous hotel (The Black Bull) rang to cancel all reservations.
The staff in the bar/restaurant and breakfast room were helpful and friendly.
Beautiful hotel and grounds. Nice room overlooking the lawn area. Comfy bed (not comfy pillows though) free parking. Breakfast was lovely and fresh
And the meal at the fat abbot was superb
The staff were very kind, welcoming and helpful all throughout our stay. Great location, 9 minutes from York central via taxi. Spa and pool were fantastic. Food was really nice too.
The location was good and we were able to get a bus right outside the hotel into the city of York. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent.
Meals at the fat abbot. Swimming pool jacuzzi etc. nice location. Comfortable hotel to relax in. Near to York with public transport right outside the hotel.
We stayed one night after attending a funeral wake at the venue. The catering at the wake was excellent. The hotel has character, with a relaxed ambience.
