My daughter and I enjoyed the swimming pool - especially the slide and wave machine.
The shopping centre was good to visit but very expensive. Nice surroundings in the shopping centre and activity centre.

Check-in was nice & friendly - I did query the room price, but on checking I had incorrectly remembered the original booking price was less. This was all handled in a friendly & professional manner.
We had in fact, been upgraded to a slightly bigger double room.
Built in the 1700s, the Rowan Tree Country Hotel now offers elegant rooms, many with views of the mountains, Cairngorm National Park or Loch Alvie. Traditional Scottish breakfasts are available.

The hotel is a old 'modernised' Inn in the Victorian times and that twee charm has been retained. The room although a single had everything in it that I needed. Lovely ensuite bathroom looks very new. The breakfast was really good, quality ingredients cooked very well (steady on, on the bacon though :)) It's a lovely, quiet setting overlooking the loch Albie? Very friendly, attentive staff. The owner was very accommodating very late booking/check in so I was grateful for that. I hope to return on my visits to Aviemore!
